I would like any information on events, or advice to get myself started in this game. I've always been a really fast shooter and peers told me to slow down, but I really don't want to. Please help me out.

Thanks,

Antmo

If you find out anything.

Yes you would think so. I have looked everywhere online for somthing that would help me, but I just cannot find alot of info. I am from Missouri, but hopefully there is something decently close. If you find anything else out please let me know. Thank you for your help.

He said the speed pool tournaments in Nevada held yearly are by invitation only....?? I think there should be qualifiers.

I cannot believe

The reason Bobby was invited in the first place (to the ESPN Speed Pool) is that he won a speed pool tourney put on at Valley (VNEA) Nationals in 07 (??). I think it was 07; the year he won the Masters 9ball.

Yes, think your about right...'07 I think is what it was...Said he was playing in the Masters tourney and checked out the "hoopla" with the speed pool...got curious-entered-won it...So he was given the invite! Hell of a deal..So I reckon there are qualifiers?

I believe acs, valley, bca, and maybe apa have speed pool qualifiers. I would google the leagues contact info and they will have all the info you need. I know bobby was a vnea {valley} champ and jason kane was a bca champ. So for sure bca and valley leagues. I also know acs has speed pool tourneys. Thorston Hohman sent a audition tape to matthew braun who puts on the international speed pool challenge and was invited. So make a tape and send it to mr. braun. Im not sure if that is how you spell his name. Also dave pearson aka the ginger wizard has a website and you could contact him for more info. By the way i know bobby personally good luck beatng him, very strong in all aspects of the game of pocket billiards and billiards. I saw luc salvas in the 2009 ISPC and he is freaking sick to watch in person. Another note the fusiontable is the worst table for the game of speed pool. In 2009 the table would shake when bobby and Luc were shooting. If they had connelly tables again bobby mcgrath would win for sure hands down.

I spoke to Bobby

Also dave peason and bobby mcgrath are on facebook. give them a shout.

He gets to play now since he won one..

He has NO idea how someone gets in, except to be invited.

U would think it would be like any other tourney, cough up the entry fee and you get your shot.??? I guess NOT.

speed pool

Thanks for all of the information. I will check in to Bobby, and add him on Facebook. Its pretty bad you have to resort to facebook for somthing like this. lol.

I think its worth a shot. I would rather get a invite then giving my money away the first couple of times..

Well I don't think that is the case at all. If there are clearing 15 balls in 40-60 sec. That's about 2-3 seconds a ball. I could do that depending on the rack set up. Players have there good and bad days. I'am fast I'll post a video when I can.
