76 & 81 in about a weeks time.... I say you have been doing well. Keep it going.

I guess you're right....well this run felt so much better even though it was on 5 balls difference, everything was alot more fluid and my patterns were right there. i didnt get in trouble much at all. for a change everything co-operated....there must be a Polar Shift in the atmosphere !!! LOL

Thanks Again !

74

Ran 74 this afternoon. It was real clean. Matter of fact, it was so much better than the 82 that I ran last week. Ended the run on a missed shot on a thin cut that I should had not attempted. I had a ball up table that I should of shot. I have it on video. If I do not run anything better. I will down load it in a few days. If anyone is interested.

I always enjoy watching you shoot, Mike. I am looking forward to watching it.

Sometimes you can run 80-100 and not really feel like you had much control over the table or the layouts. Then, you can run 60 or 70 the next day, and it feels much better because everything went as planned, and it felt technically perfect. That is why I tell people not to really pay too much attention to the numbers. If the run feels technically perfect, the numbers will happen. JMO.

That's a good point. It's also worth mentioning that an over focus on numbers makes it much more difficult to hit them.

WHen I was playing all the time a few years ago, I wasn't concerned with how many balls I ran. I just wanted to make sure I didn't end the run on a miss. As a result I'd be satisfied with a match where I ran all 14's and a couple of 20's if there weren't any or many misses involved. Now that I'm trying to get my stroke back I'm so focused on hitting high runs I'm sharking myself. I gotta remember sometimes that a match with one run of 50 and ten runs of 5, isn't a well played match.

Is it double-parked? (Nyeh nyeh, made ya look [at your original post], Steve!) :p

Seriously, congrats for the nice run, Mike! I agree -- and like I said before in agreeing with Steve -- I think we're going to be seeing a really big run from ya very soon!

Great work, and can't wait to see the video,

Not just your opinion Jack ........that s just the truth ^^

Played yesterday a 5-Pack in 8-Ball and felt so great bc all what happened was planned.
Nothing can beat this feeling in billiards if all is just *happening* what you re trying and planning to do.

Blackjack, Thanks, your statement is so correct. That is so true.
I appreciate all the comments from the guys. We have a good family here and the support is really a giant plus from everyone.
Will down load today as soon as I get the wife to help..... LOL

Hi! I ran 91 on monday, it was ugly as hell, maybe 7-8 crazy rescue shots, basically its was like some banger trying to learn 14-1 except for everything went in... :D On the other hand it was my 2nd 14-1 practice session in 2 months so it was quite understandable that my pattern play was really baaad. Funny is that I ran another 71 in the next inning so I was doing something right probably... :D

Nice job Marek,

That is awesome. And a 71 in the following inning. Plus it was your first practice session in 2 months. Great shootin. Once you get back into stroke I'm sure we will see some big numbers from you.

Thx but you read it wrong, it was my 2nd 14-1 practice session, I practice 5-6 times a week! :D So I definitelly WAS in stroke considering the fact that my 14-1 patterns were all wrong... I was more into rotation games last few weeks...like 15ball :)

I ran a 90 last night. Ended up missing an easy combo. When the cue ball made contact with the ball it ended up skidding and I missed the shot. It was a thin cut with the first object ball and the ball to be pocketed were only 2 inches from each other. The ball to be pocketed was only 5 inches from the pocket. There was no way I could miss the shot. I never in my life thought it would skid out on me with a thinner cut. I couldn't believe how much it turned on me. I was only 9 balls from breaking my high run of 98.

On a positive note, I've been putting up 50 - 70 ball runs every night for the past 3 nights. My stroke feels great and my shots are dead on. I just need to put some time in and take advantage of this hot streak.
