I'm a new member of Onepocket.org and I cannot post or send a message. I am trying to send a message to NH Steve, but it will not let me.

Can one you'se guys who happen to be a member there send a note to him and tell him my problem and that I need to talk/chat with him on another topic?

Did you JUST sign up? I think Steve has to approve each new sign up, so he won't get the spammers. This takes about a day.

At least this is the way I remember it from a few years ago.... Might be completely different today.

You should be all set now.

Anytime you signup at a forum and you see questions being asked, that they would like you to answer, you should answer them, as it helps them determine quickly if there's a human being on the other end.

Spam bots are simply scripts being executed. If you put in a human factor response, such as explaining why you love onepocket, they can't pass that test.:smile:
 
I'm having a problem with the site also. I signed up a few days ago, but it will not take my user name, password, or email. Says they are not recognized, what gives?

I'm sure your "real" registration is buried along with hundreds of spam registrations. A "real" person has to sort thru all that crap and figure out which ones might be real and which ones are spam. Since 99% of them are spam, you can see the difficulty.

What is your username you used?

It is a great forum. A lot of veteran AzBilliards members emigrated to OnePocket.org forum and today post there frequently. It is a pleasant moderated climate with no multiple identities or banned members posting.

In fact, that forum has grown a lot in the last year that I have noticed. The content there is more pool-related, and to date, I have not read any mean-spirited words from cyber bullies or trolls on OnePocket.org forum. Those who do post on OnePocket.org enjoy talking about pool. Gee, isn't that a novelty! :grin-square:

I sent the administrator a message, hope that clears it up. My user name is Squinty.
 
I swear that I registered last night before bed. I try to login now and it says my username and email are not recognized.
 
When I registered it said that when I'm activated I will receive a notice by email. Have you received the email yet?

hehe... guys ... are you not reading the thread? The reason you cannot login right away, is because a human being has to sort thru all the spam registrations to try and figure out which ones are real and which ones are spam. We're talking 100's of spam registrations here, mixed in with a few real ones. Someone does not wade thru all of these every day, as real life comes first.

Sometimes "gasp" :smile: even a mistake can be made where a real user gets deleted because it might appear to be spam. Thats why I mentioned above, to write something during registration, or be sure to check a box other then the 1st one, when it's asking about your interest in onepocket.

Anyways....beerpressure.... what is the username you used during registration? I see none that are close to beerpressure.
 
I know when I first registered with OnePocket.org, I did have trouble staying logged in. I believe -- at that time -- it had something to do with me being on AOL, but I could be wrong. Of course, it also could have something to do with what browser you are on.

BUT it is important to remember that when you do first register, you will *not* be able to post until you reply to the e-mail you registered as your contact information when you first sign up. If you do not reply to that e-mail, then you will never be able to post. I think most forums work this way. :smile:
