USPPA Reno players, did they get paid?

:eek::eek::lovies::lovies::nanner::slap::banghead:
I have just been told that since Annigoni crossed state lines that this is a FEDERAL issue now. I need to get ahold of Jenny Lee in Los Angeles area, does anyone have her info or email? Thanks for your response or P.M.

Of course it is federal Jeff. Its also wire fraud if someone paid with a credit card and on and on. You don't want to go there. Stay local, in Reno. Small claims. You guys that are owed money, name a representative to send a demand letter. Start with the letter of demand and go from there. But not to any employees, the owners. When you come down here we can go see someone to help you if I am here. Deep pockets are what you need. The Peppermills going to say they have no responsibility, but in the end, the amounts are small to them to keep things quiet. But do you want to shut out future tournaments at Casinos? Keep your focus. In this game you have the
six out and the breaks. Relax and remember who has the money to pay. Do
you want revenge or the cash? Every day you get up you have a plan on what
to do. This is no different. You want your money. Who can pay? Does anybody
know who won the bank tournament yesterday?

So Tony Annigoni finally updated the USPPA website with the note about the Reno Shortfall. you can see it at www.usppa.com. Still no word on what exactly happened to the money for the entry fees we paid to enter the tournament. He told me he still owes the players about $20,000. Anybody want to lend it to him so he can pay us all off and put it behind us?

Wow, it took 2 months for him to even write something about it. What are the chances anyone will ever get paid?

So sad there are people like this!

So you waited 2 months for that. That is not an explanation but an excuse that means nothing. Tony again talking out the side of his mouth.
I think after 40 or so years I will put him on ignore.

sad....... :(

Great art work! Shortfall? Just now finding that out, NOW. I must say that Tony has a keen eye for the obvious. So can we talk about the banks tournament now? :frown::rolleyes::rolleyes::yikes: who would like the banks champion to come out to the bay area? John Brumbach wants to teach. Group rates of six available.

I thought he waws to posta payout schedule not a your right we are short money excuse He was to put a date and timely pay out shcedule has to how much and when to pay. What he put is just a stall move Remeber he was checking with his finacial officers to schedule a timely pay out and prove when it was to be delivered.

Might as well play 3 card monty with his post on his web site.

If you like I go with you to help you get something in writing to help start a timely payout.

If not you can use prepaid legal service they will prepare a letter send it Basicly a legal demand of payment letter that will stand up in court and small claims for they are legel documents if he signs them or dates them with a payment schedule and defaults on them. I have used them in the past and t works.
cost like 100-200 ayear to be a memeber or 30 month.

Annigoni needs to work directly and honestly with the players, not continue stalling and making excuses.

At the very least, the players are entitled to a payment plan (real or not).

Re: USPPA's Shortfall Announcement

The "Shortfall" acknowledgment posted on the usppa.com website doesn't have a date, so does "by the end of the week" mean this week? next week?

I understood there were 49 players that qualified for money, but the posting says 32 players have YET to be paid. Does this mean 17 players have been paid? I heard 33rd through 49th were suppose to have been paid $100; 16 x $100 = $1,600, if they were paid off I wonder who the 17th player was? What happened to the rest of the $9,900 entry fees? What caused the shortfall?

I would like to see a list of all the winners with amounts won. Does anyone have this info? Was there ever any writeup published anywhere?

Where is the beef?

I'm amazed there hasn't been a winner's list publish anywhere. That's gotta be a first! A $5k 1st place, $3k 2nd place, including a supposed $15k added for a handicapped tournament; AND; only 99 entries! NOT a single writeup in ANY magazine or web page? The winners were not only lied to about when they would get their winnings; they never got the recognition they deserved. No formal apology either. How much worse could it have been managed?

We need a list of who won what and everyone reading this can help complete the puzzle. I remember asking in the chat session during live streaming how deep the payouts would go and the person running the stream responded saying 33-49th would get $100. So please help fill in missing data from the following:

1st $5,000 (Jeff Gregory)
2nd $3,000 (Carl Wilson Jr.)
3rd?
4th?
5th-6th?
7th-8th?
9th-12th?
13th-16th?
17th-24th?
25th-32th?
33rd-49th $100 (?)

Finals Interview

I just listened again to Tony's finals interview with Jeff Gregory and Carl Wilson. More than two months have past now and neither Jeff or Carl have received their money. Imagine just what must have been going through Tony's mind while talking with Jeff and Carl, on-line and knowing he didn't have the money to pay them.
Here's the link:

Wow. What he did is terrible but 99 entries and he pays 49 places. I would love to play tournaments that paid out 1/2 the field. If only he would have follwed thru...

Jenny Lee got $2300 for third place, Mike Langarica got $1700 for 4th place, Alex Bradley and Jeff Heath got $850 each for 5-6th place,
