i was curious i was thinking of getting a Delux BreakRak my question is how long will it last an does the Ball thing u hiting would it break crack or anything

thanks in Advance

well i was watching the videos and if you could almost leave the cueball in the center dead every time from the practice you get i would assume its an awesome investment.

getting the spread and a ball in on each break is an entirely different question. i also talked with a coworker about this if you do purchase it you may want to get break mats something that is almost cloth thin but protects your felt from getting flat spots, from where your breaking and from where the "BreakRak" is sitting i assume it will have some minor movement with weight ect. just something we thought of.

I've used mine a whole bunch. I don't know if it is even possible to break it, but if you can it would take more breaks than you can put on the thing. It is solid as hell. I think the elastic cords it attaches to will rot away long before the break rak does.

It is the best tool you can invest your money in. If you play in tournaments or gambling, the break this thing will give you will earn your $200 back in a couple months, as long as you can run out afterward :)

I have 2 of them and they work great! If you do happen to break it, Charlie will warranty it.

Any wear on the cloth that you wouldn't otherwise get from normal breaking? Also, if you do not hit it square does the object ball ever bounce up slightly? Thanks

SO................ you have a table at home???? hmmmmm, I was wondering why your game continues to improve. :yeah:

no i wish mister Joey i still have too go too the bar Sadly but no worries an yes i am improving thanks too mister Denny an few others i should cash in the white diamonds tournament if not i will work harder then b4 :D

The ball on the breakrak is just like a normal pool ball. You won't crack that thing.

The breakrak is great and will Improve your cueball control on your break.

Robley, I LOVE your attitude and heart!

Thanks for asking about the BreakRAK... Jerrod Frideres, who sponsers the FAST BREAK BOOTH in Las Vegas at the Tournament, has given me two BreakRAKs to rebuild.. one had 68,000 hits, the second one had over 100,000 hits.

We have had maybe 10 BreakRAKs break in 9 years. They were all warranteed.

Ceebee,
A few questions: Does the rack produce any wear on the cloth that you wouldn't otherwise get from normal breaking? Also, if you do not hit it square does the object ball ever bounce up and back down on the slate?

Using this training aid for breaking, yes you will wear your cloth out faster if you only break from one spot. I put the CB on a 4" piece of scrap Simonis, and problem solved on that end. Because the BreakRak moves backward about 1-2" when struck, I also place a 2" piece of Scotch tape on the foot spot to prevent undue wear on that end as well. I don't remember if I learned this from the directions for the thing, of if I just came up with that, but regardless, it works.

As with any break, if you hit downward on the CB and it strikes the head ball of the rack while in the air, yes it will jump up off of the table and/or fly off of the table. It's just like a normal break in that way. If you simply hit the head ball slightly off center, it remains pretty stable and the CB doesn't fly out of control. You can also adjust the thing for practicing the cut break. The purpose of this tool is to allow you to practice your break and not have to re-rack the balls again and again.

What I learned from working with mine, is that I wasn't playing position on the break at all. I was just slamming the break, watching all of the balls fly around, and letting the CB go wherever it happened to go. With this product, the only thing to watch is the CB, so I found myself paying attention to it's position for the first time. :embarrassed2: Combine this tool with the BreakSpeed iPhone app, and you are guaranteed to wear yourself out!

How could you possibly tell?

Charlie,

I am curious to know how you know how many hits those particular BreakRaks have? I know I used mine a ton but could not come close to saying how many hits? Fair question I think.

It is a great product by the way!

Jerrod Friederes takes in money for the fast break contest (3 hits for $5). He uses the revenue brought in, to determine the hits on the BreakRAK.

He makes a living directing these Fast Break contests for lots of tournament venues across the nation.
