To Review or Not to Review -- THAT is the Question

Lou - as Rick said to Ilsa, "if you've written that review and you don't publish it, you'll regret it .... oh, not tomorrow or next week, but soon, and for the rest of your life." (Or something similar).

If you publish, then Dr. Dave just may say to you, as Victor Laslow said to Rick, "Welcome back to the fight .... this time I know we will win!"

It's too bad Peter Lorre, I mean Patrick Johnson, was shot in the cafe and won't be there to help you.

I've kind of enjoyed being out of the discussion for a while, but I will consider all reasonable thoughts on the subject of a review -- if you would care to offer them -- and then decide whether to post or not.

Post it Lou, some of us value YOUR opinions. I have the DVD and my own opinions on it. I would like to know yours, whether you post it here or send to me in PM :)

Thanks for your contributions.

Post it on the instructional review section of the site. It is better moderated, and cuts out all the back and forth crap your review is sure to receive, regardless of if its positive or negative.

If someone has a different viewpoint, they can post their own review along side of yours, in the same thread of the review section.

I say supress it; censorship rocks!

And pull this thread, too!

Best,
Brian kc
P.S. Ah, nevermind, post it Lou... :D

Its a sad day here, when we can't post our opinions and thoughts without incurring personal attacks or intimidation.

Never stops me from posting MY opinions. "F*ck 'em if they can't take a joke" has always been one of my favorite sayings. You either got a set of brass balls or you need to grow a set.

C'mon lou, post it up in the name of information sharing!!!

Lou's just teasing us.

Either that, or he's waiting for JB or JoeyA to come on here and firing a warning shot across the bow. They have such fun, those three. Where's Patrick when we need him? :p

What Happened to Patrick?

I keep seeing something about a guy who got kicked off the forum named Patrick.

What did he do that was so bad? Is it even permitted to ask?

I'm far from the expert on Patrick, but here's my explanation.

Patrick is a VERY knowledgeable person. And very passionate in what he believes, and how he expresses it. He decided to take one particular argument to it's conclusion, and when that is an argument that includes those who run the site, you can imagine how it will turn out. ESPECIALLY if you express you thoughts in a extremely passionate manner...if you get my drift.

He was always good for an argument, especially about CTE. The science and math behind it, not "only" for arguments sake.

Just search his name and read some of his posts. You'll get the idea. Any old CTE thread will do nicely, there are plenty to choose from.

Justadub,
Thankyou for the information I will do that in spare time.

I believe that you should post . A review should always be welcome. Beating a dead horse , maybe not. Reviewing though personal could share light to someone who was not privy to prior posts.
Understanding that the work compiled and put together from Stan Shuffet was done for the love of this sport. It was for love not money. I think he did a great job presenting and producing what for most of us just talking about it , is confusing enough.
So with that said ..post on brother , post on

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

LF,
I think you should post. You won't get into trouble by posting, only by responding to the inevitable responses from those that disagree with you.

I personally would love to hear your analysis. As a true student of the game, I have considered buying it just to have a complete library. But I have no personal use for CTE, and it is pricey....a little help please.

OK, I think I'll throw it out there.

Lou Figueroa

Never worry about posting! It's quite like Playboy, don't open it up and then complain about the content. I don't go to the NPR posts very much cause I don't care about most of that stuff. Speak your mind. For those that don't like the CTE threads, why do you open and read them?

OK, I'm feeling pretty good about it now.

Lou Figueroa

You should post. If not, please send me your review in a PM. I would like to know your perspective and will not share.

Thanks,
JW

I think I'll throw it out in public... as long as all you guys egging me on don't disappear when I do :-o

Excellent idea.

Lou, you need to post your review soon. Otherwise we will have to fabricate a review, post it, and claim you sent it to us by PM. This could also get you banned (we have fertile imaginations), so please post your review as soon as possible.

Sorry we had to threaten you.....sort of....

tough crowd, tough crowd.
