What with all the recent action in the "PRO ONE DVD -- Answering Questions" thread I have been reconsidering posting my review of the said DVD.

Some folks here are sick of the aiming threads, some live for them, some (like Pat Johnson) commit Suicide by Mod over them :-o

The review is written. I'm just trying to figure out if it's really worth throwing another log on the old CTE fire. I've kind of enjoyed being out of the discussion for a while, but I will consider all reasonable thoughts on the subject of a review -- if you would care to offer them -- and then decide whether to post or not.

Yes, post it.
You obviously took the time to write it, so share it. Who cares how it's received. I am curious as to how you perceived it and I might get something out of it.;)
 
I believe that you should post . A review should always be welcome. Beating a dead horse , maybe not. Reviewing though personal could share light to someone who was not privy to prior posts.
Understanding that the work compiled and put together from Stan Shuffet was done for the love of this sport. It was for love not money. I think he did a great job presenting and producing what for most of us just talking about it , is confusing enough.
So with that said ..post on brother , post on

I think you should post. You won't get into trouble by posting, only by responding to the inevitable responses from those that disagree with you.

I personally would love to hear your analysis. As a true student of the game, I have considered buying it just to have a complete library. But I have no personal use for CTE, and it is pricey....a little help please.

Never worry about posting! It's quite like Playboy, don't open it up and then complain about the content. I don't go to the NPR posts very much cause I don't care about most of that stuff. Speak your mind. For those that don't like the CTE threads, why do you open and read them?

Well stated ... and funny.

I miss PJ. I hope he can return to the forum at some point in the future (e.g., after an appropriate "sentence"). Maybe AZB will grant him some sort of "parole hearing" some day. I honestly think PJ contributed more useful information and insight over the years than any other single AZB user ... ever! He's certainly the most-quoted person in the FAQ section of my website. His life-time ban was a huge loss to the AZB community; although, he did push the moderators a bit too far (i.e., he was asking for it).

In the spirit of the recent Middle East uprisings, maybe we should start a movement to FREE PJ!!! :grin-square:

Lou, you need to post your review soon. Otherwise we will have to fabricate a review, post it, and claim you sent it to us by PM. This could also get you banned (we have fertile imaginations), so please post your review as soon as possible.

I'd also like to read it lou. You seem like someone who knows what he's talking about and not the type to be afraid of a little healthy debate. The CTE fire will burn no matter what you do, at least the next thread get started with good intentions and an honest educated perspective.

He will not be taken seriously by cte users, you just have to go back to his past post on it. We all know this will be a negative review. Hey lou, stans kid was pretty good in the dvd eh? I bet hes a pretty happy kid working with his dad on this project. :thumbup:
 
I think you should post your review, in the product review section, not here. Its a sad day here, when we can't post our opinions and thoughts without incurring personal attacks or intimidation.

haha, I kind of expected that though I probably missed that post. I guess most of the people saying "post it up!" are the guys who already agree with him. But, I call his intentions good because he asked at least before making some big negative post that could lead to flames. I hope he posts. I've gotten internet arguing out of my system so if there's a big fight I'll just grab popcorn.

JBcases and spidey still post much?

Yep. Most of the regulars from when you last hung out here will still be around. Except Patrick Johnson, who got the lifetime achievement-er, ban a little while ago... :p

Although JB has been a bit low key the last couple of weeks, now that you mention it.
