My latest cue -- check it out

Assuming Mrs. 9BP has her way, this will be my last cue for a very long time. It's too new to do a review yet, but I wanted to share my excitement. Very soft hit. The G-core shaft of these new McDermotts seems better suited to my stroke than the Predator. That's my initial take.

The cue in the picture is the one that I bought. The dealer says they're flying out the door -- he did a dozen in the past 10 days.

I have a lower-end model in that series, the G-203, and I love it. I'm sure you'll love yours, too.

Paul I bought a EK3 in the early 90's and it plays as good as any cue I have ever used. They are tough cues that are well constructed and have a good finish.

Nice cue Paul. I know your predicament all too well. The War Department at my place has put her foot down on any future spending on necessary toys.
I am in the process of down sizing my stash, if I want to be able to procure any more.
Luckily, I still have a McDermott Deacon that is safe.

Have fun with that new toy. I mean, new Weapon of Mass Destruction.

There's an upshot to this story, as so often happens.

Today Mrs. 9BP comes home from the REI store, wheeling in a brand new bicycle.

When I question her on this, she responds:

"You got that new McDermott pole for your game room and bar. I get a Trek bicycle for my health."

As an avid angler, I've gotten accustomed to hearing "pole" instead of rod. But a pool pole? Is a public spanking the appropriate punishment?

Mrs. 9BP is a Hoosier, which may explain everything.

Thoughts?

Say to her ... "no, the McDermott is a pool cue, the fishing pole I am going to buy should come in next week" My girl and I swap her concert tickets for my pool equipment, it goes back and forth constantly, heh.

BTW, grats on the new ummm. ... pole? Is it Scott Lee that loves the G-cores? If I remember, he likes them more than the Pred's and the I-series. Nice purchase.
