Please remove the crap!

In as much as I have been involved in a few of them (contentious threads) I don't believe that it is necessary to regulate them. Usually they run their course, die on their own, and we move on.
In my opinion this forum is run quite well, considering all the information that runs through it from day to day, and I personally don't see a need for changes.
Under-regulation leads to chaos. Over regulation leads to abuse. Striking a balance between the two should be the goal. :)

i still believe that if you see things that you think are inflammatory & unrelated to the forum there is nothing wrong with pointing it out.

Big truck educated me about the bad button.

Next time i will use that.

This aint sunday school!

You can rep people any way you want but the fact remains, we pretty much have to self govern in order for this forum to remain relevant. All the complaining does nothing but stir up the ones that muck it up in the first place. It's WAY TO EASY to just hit your back button and move onto another thread if you don't like the content.

This is a public forum where people can (within reason) say pretty much whatever they want. Of course this doesn't exempt them from the backlash comments can and do receive. The Mods try to keep things organized according to topic and threads are moved all the time. Either for accidentally posting FS threads in the main forum, or subjects that start out benign and turn ugly (NPR) and then are moved/closed accordingly. But since you've been here for a while, none of this should come as a surprise

I'm sure the mods LOVE when people report posts in which the only offense is containing content that YOU don't like.

Sit back and let the bosses do their job. If something gets really out of hand, it will assuredly be taken care of without any help from us.

A little self control goes a long way Slim ... don't read the threads that bother you. You are dreaming in technicolour if you are expecting everyone to conform to your ideas about what is appropriate or not on a large forum such as AZ.

Dave

please, please, please!!

Remove the controversial threads that had pool in the title but are only meant to create arguments.

That is not what the main forum is for.

Slim

Heard a good one yesterday, guy walks into a bar, you can tell he's not having a good day, I say, how it goin'?

He said, ''ya know what really pisses me off'', what.............?
''Theres not enough happy people in the world."
We had a good laugh. Almost sounded like a WI joke.

There is also the "ignore" button. And, I would imagine, there are some people close to pushing it:sorry:

It is not pool related

why would anyone want non pool related posts on the main forum?

Why would people argue to leave non pool related posts on the main forum?

It has nothing to do with liking or not liking the content, it is simply npr material.

Live & let live
stop & smell the roses
kiss an angel good morning & all that sweet stuff

just please remove all the non pool related crap from the main forum.

Thank you to everyone who lets me know that hey want those subjects left here but i will never agree with you.

You know, this thread isn't really "pool related". :)

i was asking to have non pool related threads removed.

Where else would i post that?

Simple answer... You should have sent your request via a PM to one of the mods.

Starting a thread invites comments whether intended or otherwise.

Thanks

i did not know that, i assumed they would see the thread.

Still not sure why some are so upset about it.
