YEA!! She's gone

Do you know the difference between "yea" and "yay"? Many people don't. It's kind of like when people post "here, here," it really should be spelled as "hear, hear."

“Yea” is a very old-fashioned formal way of saying “yes,” used mainly in voting. It’s the opposite of—and rhymes with—“nay.” When you want to write the common casual version of “yes,” the correct spelling is “yeah” (sounds like “yeh” ). When the third grade teacher announced a class trip to the zoo, we all yelled “yay!” (the opposite of “boo”!). That was back when I was only yay big.

Here is an excellent reference for words that give one pause. I hope you-all find it as useful as I do: Common Errors!

and i thought this was going to be a grateful dead thread....

Rat in a drain ditch
Caught on a limb
You know better but
I know him
Like I told you
What I said
Steal your face
right off you head

Nine mile skid on a ten mile ride
Hot as a pistol but cool inside
Cat on a tin roof, dogs in a pile,
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile!

Yayyyy, shes gone.

There was a fellow who was having an affair with his secretary. Her name was Shirley. He wasn't getting along with his wife very well anyway.

One day, he was walking by a river with his wife. Her name was Lorraine.
Lorraine was walking close to the rivers edge, slipped, fell in and was washed away by the strong current.

The guy was thinking to himself. (This is going to be a groaner folks.)

Scroll down.

I Can See Shirley Now, Lorraine is Gone.
Now, if you don't get it, sing it to yourself once and then see ok.

It's been a Hard days Night, I should be sleeping like a log

But when I get home to you

I Find the things that you do

Will make me feel allllright...."

"Something in the way she moves....

Attracts me like no other lover.

Something in the way she woo's me

I don't want to leave her now

You know I believe, and how...."

Jenny, this is similar to when people say "It was just here say"... What were you handing someone a voice???

It's "Hear, Say" As in they heard it, then repeated it. I hear it, then I say it...

Exactly the reason I no longer play in leagues. I'm just there to have fun, some people act like it is life and death.

Probably shoots pool as good as he spells.
