I spent time with Tom this past weekend. He still doesn't have full feeling or control in his right arm, but he has tried to hit balls a few times. Obviously, this can be disappointing to him, given his high level of play in the past.Any more updates on Tom's recovery? Is he getting back into playing pool?
His speech and reading/writing skills are still fairly limiting; although, he has made improvement in these areas. There is still hope that speech and writing/reading therapy will enable greater improvement, now that his brain has had time to heal from the trauma.
Luckily, Tom's personality, intelligence, and sense of humor don't seem to be any different than in the past. We were able to communicate quite a lot between each other, and we had lots of fun in the process. We were actually talking about trying to put together a CD-ROM of all of Tom's past instructional articles together for people to purchase, and we were able to plan the whole project together.
Overall, Tom's spirits seem good and he seems dedicated to working hard with therapy.
Thanks for asking,
Dave
