Do an advanced search here on AZ for threads started by deadaim. He posted a series of threads on kicking and covers the Sid system in one of the sections (there are 7 or 8 threads, all contain great information, well worth the effort to work through).

Ah heck, I'll make it a bit easier for you and anyone else interested in this most excellent material :

Sure. On page 13 of this set of articles, is an analysis of "System Sid" which was named after Sid Banner and described in Walt Harris's first of four volumes on diamond systems. The following article in that set describes some other one-cushion kicking systems and covers System Sid for short-way kicks.

Here is the main diagram from those columns. The table is numbered as shown. If you want to get to 3 on the long rail and you are shooting from X3, you just multiply the numbers together (that's what the X3 implies) and you get 9. Shoot to 9 or so on the far short rail.

I was going to post a link to my kicking articles that are hosted on poolstudent.com, but I see someone already beat me to it... Nice to know somone actually read them!!

Check out the poolstudent.com articles, I cover the Sid system as well as all of the one and two rail kicking systems that I'm familiar with. I was working on an explanation of the Corner 5 system as well when I quit playing pool, now that I'm playing again I may finish that off and post that up as well.

I've seen the deadaim information referenced below as well, that was posted when I wasn't playing pool so I didn't see it originally, but looks like he took a similar approach and documented his experiences and knowledge of kicking as well, some good info there too.
