Dimensions are Rambo. I have heard of but never seen this joint configuration.

As Jay man too I also thought WWII. I also had to wounder altered joint and pin. There is why and how and what.

LOL It is spelled here the same way Cornerstone Custom Cues spelled it on the header of one they are selling...
Going by the way he signed his cues, it is RAMBOW :thumbup:
 
I can't spell Hoppie?

Spell it right. The Hoppie has Willie Hoppe's signature on it. Igrant or familiarity to spelling means nothing. I can't spell many things that are used to build auto matic or manual transmissilns but pile the parts in a box and I can build it. I can't spell nuclear reaction half the time but have written fortran programs to compute particle absorbsion ,relfection and movement through and during a nuclear reaction on an atomic level. Spelling I belive is now spelled spell check and I don't have it.
I have also owned museum quality unplaued Rambo's. I know what I am looking at. This cue not so much.
Herman's work is recognised by his joint when unsigned that and measurements are consistant. This cue's joint is oddly built to Rambo's specs and has his dimensions.
Just the other month I learned here Rambo did use Willie Hoppe butts on occasion. The one thing that strikes me odd for Rambo's work is the points are not dead even. Forgot the W agian? not.

In 1957 I went to the Brunswick store in Dallas to buy a new cue.

There were many Willie Hoppe cues in the rack with the black joint.
I was told it was something new.

I bought a brass joint Hoppe for 17.95.

i saw one like this that george balabushka put the joint on
just like this one
owned by leroy kinman,an ex college player
from that time on the cue was a balabushka,just like all the other titleist balabushkas became balabushkas or szams or whatever
i can not say this is that cue or one of georges cues
there are a lot of cues done by george that the owher doesn;t even know
on the other hand there are a lot of people who think thet have a balabushka and....

Very interesting! They did the same or very close during the war as well. I wonder what the differences If any would be? Left over stock maybe?

Boy, A dollar aint what it used to be. Did it come with the ivory ring for that price?

Don't know if the ring was ivory.

Took it home and put linen on it.

I was only about 16 at the time.
