Ok, let’s say 4 players enter a tournament, and then beat everyone in the room, and chop it at the end, who cares? They beat everyone else so what’s wrong with splitting the money.
Now for fans the matches should be played out and played hard, but if they choose to split the money, then so what. THT is NOT stealing money from the tournament, they paid and entry fee, won, and split their money how they see fit.
At the end of the day they won money, so they can split it with their friends if they wish, this idea that the integrity changes the game is complete crap.
Now, racking wars -- wiring balls, slugging people on racks, sharking people, doing drugs, hustling, and all around cheating is what the problem with pool is. It definitely isn't worthy of a thread of its own.
Want to change the sport? Don't like it? Think you can do better? Then go ****in do it, or stop *****ing about something you are never going to change. The players need to change the sport, they need to make promoters have integrity and that is what the ABP is trying to do. Look at Galveston, what a crock of crap, they promised over 1 Million in play and it was MUCHHHH less than that. Then Berry B owing people money for months at a time, complete crap. Then you get these crap little tours that start up, charging players tour cards, and producing nothing.
Pool needs to change from the players, and the players need to have control, not the promoters, because at the end of the day the people making the money now is the promoters, not the players. (For the most part this holds true, not always the case)
To sit behind a computer and act all big and mighty and wine about players trying to take hold of their own destiny is crap, who are you? A no body, just like me and the rest of the schmucks on this forum who are all bangers at best. Your all your little own PRACTICE champions, and nothing more, so stop writing about pool like you know something, and stop sitting there acting all pleased as punch, as if you just did something.
This was posted in another thread and it got me thinking that since all these players are in one organization, what happens if 4 members were placed 1st through 4th. Would they chop it up?
This is a possible scam and fraud by this organization to steal money from tournaments. This is why the integrity of pool will always be where it is today.
There should be a board to investigate some of these backroom dealings....it happens all the time in the local scene....this is the same but in a grand scheme.
