you would have to go 6ft underground to get this from me.....

Whats real cool is that Gus, when making these windows, used dots in the corners to get that look. So in reality that's 8 more inlays in this cue than a normal count would have.

Joe you are killing me. I love that cue. Between you and little Kenny I have drooled and rusted my shoe laces. Randy

What might be even cooler?

Would this be the only Gus the boxes weren't slip on? When you pointed the inlays out it was easy to notice alot more than expected!
It is an exceptional example and the first I have ever seen like it in more than one way.
Congradulations!
Nick :)

I don't know of any "Razor" window cues that Gus did that weren't made with dots in the corners. As the cue ages, and the finish thins, you can start to see the method very easily. That doesn't take away from the fact that all the inlays are sharp. I think Gus must have found that this way was quicker than knifing the pocket, or less likely to have a mistake made...

He did it there looks like.

The way he formed out the cathedrial windows by using the inlays is something for sure.! Very inovative. And pretty too centering them on the boxes corners. The man was good.

Randy,
I think Kenny's cue and this cue show the diversity that Gus achieved on a cue to cue basis. Definately one of the masters of the ivory inlay of his time. It would have been a real competition has Bushka lived long enough to fiddle with ivory on this scale.

That is an amazing piece of history.
Would have loved for more shots of the window to show the inlays.
Thanks for sharing.
