HELP! Can someone help me identify this Mali pool cue...

My dad traded away a Centipede arcade game and got this Mali pure ivory cue along with $200. He no longer wants this and I don't get the chance to play pool all that often. I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify this cue and how much it would be worth if I sold it...its in very good condition as well. Also...where would I even begin to look to sell this? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Only one link shows and it doesn't work. I've never personally seen a Mali with ivory in it. They don't do that very often, if at all, with production cues, at least not in my experience.
 
Not saying they never made them, but I have never seen a Mali with ivory in it.

Post up some detailed pictures!!
 
Nope. Mali never used Ivory in ANY of their production cues. Wish I could see the pics.

haha sorry guys, ill try and post pictures again...thanks! and from what I was told from my dad and the guy that gave him this cue it has ivory in it...

Seriously, a lot of us would like to see pics of that cue -- if that Mali's old enough, I'm sure it is ivory (a lot of folks don't realize how old Mali, as a company is/was).

Theres no ivory in that cue unfortunately.. It looks to be all synthetic and also a Production cue. No ivory here..

I wouldn't think the joint and ferrule are ivory in that cue. As I said above, seldom happens in production cues. The cost to put ivory in as many cues as are made on the line would be prohibitive, I'd think.
The shaft, ferrule, and tip need work, looks like. Might make a decent player but I doubt it would bring much if put up for sale.
I remember seeing that logo, I think from late '70s to mid '80s but I'm going from memory. There is nothing with that logo in the second edition of the Blue Book of Pool Cues.
If it is ivory, which I doubt, it might be worth some money. Not much, in this economy, however.

Brandon, like others have said there is no Ivory in that cue, however, it is still a nice cue. This series Mali cue was made in the USA, and in most cases these cues were Full Spliced. I have refinished and sold a number of them over the years and they are really well made cues.

If the cue is straight, both the shaft and the butt together and apart in it's present condition it is worth between $75 and $125.

Brandon,

Don't let the low dollar value fool you. Mali's always were affordable cues. This is a decent playing cue, so if you're taking up the game, it will be just fine. Any of us would be fine playing pool with this old Mali.

I had a Mali in the mid '80s. Good solid cue for the money. Then I bought a Schon. Big step up.
