Is DippyD, a Great guy or what!

The first time I had ever heard if D Dave was the night after he played Shane in Vegas about a year and a half ago. I was there on business and by dumb luck Shane and my youngest boy climbed on one of the rides high atop of the Stratosphere hotel and casino.

It was cool talking to Shane for the next twenty minutes, he told me how he had got the better of Dave the night before and said he was wanting to match up again on this night also. He even asked if I was interested in going to Sharks to watch the match. Due to obligations early the next morning I wimped out:banghead:

I will always wonder what it would have been like hanging with the likes of Shane and Dippy for a night.

I would rather spend the nite with shane and dippy then the president or the queen of england, you blew it big time cuebuddy!

Hey JoeyA, I figured it out now!!

Dippy is so cool. He came down to Buffalo Billiards in Metairie, LA and left with a largess fit for a king. :D:D:D

I'm surprised that more road players don't come by and pick up their share.

Hell, it was so good for Dippy that his man, Wiseman didn't have to slay a single dragon.

Come pass a good time at Buffalo Billiards in Metairie, LA, as "Lock" calls it, "THE WORLD'S POOL HALL".

I know why Wiseman and Dippy would not play me.... My bank roll was not large enough. Simple as that. Wiseman wanted to play for $50,000 a set with Randy and Lil'l sal. I wanted to play for $200.00 dollars a set race to five games. Dippy played Eddie Brown again for $600.00 a game. I then left Buffalo's Billiards, the World's Pool Hall, and went home. Dippy was very nice. He does not like his picture being taken either! I did however get a picture of him and myself, that was nice of him! Lots of action at Buffalo's Billiards the World's pool Hall, this weekend. Thanks AZB family for my warm welcome back.

How were Dippy and Eddie playing?

Eddie and Dippy!

How were Dippy and Eddie playing?

They were playing bank nine ball, Eddie had to go to 6 balls and stop after making a ball. Dippy had to go to 5 balls. Eddie had to put his first ball made back up. that was it. Everyone their knew the game, so it was not a secret!!!

JumpinJoe, You said a mouthful!

Dippy is a good dude.....Known him for longer than most on here, except the Ohio boys...Met him probaly 12-15 years ago and hes the same today as then....More cash hasnt changed him...By the way he was playing the champs back then and bettin his whole roll, he didnt just start gambling.....U really shouldnt hate on someone you have never actually set down with and talked to, to many haters from heresay, its nuts...

How true your statement is! That is what I am talking about....

Someone once gave me a real shrunken head. (Spare me the obvious jokes.) I had it for about a year before I took a close look and realized it was authentic.

One of my kids had to be at a football field for a national field goal kicking contest at 7:00 am, he did real well and that helped him land a huge scholarship but I will always wonder;).

It's like hanging around a pool hall all night.

Hey now I don't have to wonder anymore:thumbup:.

I realized at the time that I had a once in a life time opportunity to meet up with one of my personal heros (SVB) but he is still a notch below my boy:cool:.
The cool thing was I was shooting a video of my kid on the ride and I didn't even know who he was sitting next to until I went to pick him up at the ride exit;).

Hello Cue,

I agree, DippyD is very smart. And he plays good pool.

Lock N Load.

He may have "street" smarts, but as far as edumacation...just look at his spelling. :p

I have been told I play pretty good pool as well. Maybe Drippy and I should play even.

Hello Jadssons,
I meant smart at matching up in a pool match. I saw DippyD play pool several nights in Buffalo's Billiards, the worlds pool Hall. He was getting weight, but he played good pool. If you get to play him please let me know how you make out?

I know this is not the norm, I always give a person the benefit of the doubt, but.......

I've met some people in my travels that couldn't read or write their own name's that were most very intelligent, and just being "street smart" had nothing to do with it, don't ever judge a person's IQ sorely on ones education, or that misjudgment may come back to haunt you one day!
