Hey Guys,

I'm headed up to Maryland, and I'll be somewhere near Washington DC.

I am going to need to know where the Best Pool Halls are located at...

Please help me out, any information will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
jwe

There is Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie (best action and tournaments). KB billiards in Jessup on RT1. Bank Shots and Side Pockets in Laurel... Both have a lot of good players and pretty good action to include some pro level players at all the halls.

In DC, I only know of Buffalo Billiards in DuPont Circle.

In Spingfield, there is Fast Eddies.... Famous is about all I can say.

R,

Greg

KB billiards in Jessup is now called Triple Nines.

Side Pockets in Laurel is long gone.

If you are going to be in Washington, you can go across the river to one of the best rooms in the area. Champions in Arlington.

If you don't mind driving head west and visit First Break in Sterling VA. Great room with newer Diamond Tables and a real nice pool culture.

LOL... I lived in the Baltimore area for years and never heard Dundalk called a suburb.

Just kidding with you; people from Balto will understand though.

About 4 years ago I was at University of Maryland in College park, and remember heading a few miles down Rt. 1 and seeing a laundromat with several bar boxes that seemed to be getting good use. I never checked it out as the clientele seemed questionable from the outside. Has anyone ever been there or know the story?

Is Champions still open? All I can find is pool and spa supplies. Wanna make sure they're still a poolhall before I drive there from Clinton MD. Thanks, Ron

I presume you refer to the Shirlington (Same as Arlington) one?

It is a different business now, but there are still pool tables there.

You people telling him about Frederick are just mean. Almost as those people teasing poor Dumdalk.:D:D

The Frederick area has Champions where Mike Sigel plays out of. You can go up to Hard Times in Germantown but thats more of a bar setting. Baltimore area is where all the bigger pool halls are or at least to where I've been. Above posters already said Big Daddy's and Running Out. Then there's Top Hat and VIP on route 40.

It's still there but now called Lucy's. Change of ownership and name.

It was more for the fact that Frederick is on the other side of the state from Clinton...and he'd be driving right by about 40 friggin rooms, on the way.

Yeah, u gotta go here!
