Hohmann vs. Davis?

I believe they are playing now but probably aren't very deep into the game. I am not there but I hope someone who is can update us whenever possible.

Toastie is up 143 to 24. Thorston had a 100+ Ball run, we all thought he was gonna crush his own record the way that he was going !!

Mike at table now, showing signs of fatigue especially after thorston had him in the seat for a while

Thanks for the update!

Mikes waging a comeback...fighting it ....now 163 - 74 Thorston. Mike is still shooting !

Mike missed the breakshot at 74....bummer !!! they are taking a break. thorston coming to table shortly

179-74 Thorston missed after getting stuck to the rack on a steep cut...Mike back to the table with a shot to start !

Kind of a sloppy game after Hohmann's 102. They were both tired. Here's how it went, inning by inning (11 inning game). D = Davis; H = Hohmann.
  1. D: safe; H: foul scratch
  2. D: 23, miss; H: 23, miss
  3. D: safe; H: safe
  4. D: 1, miss; H: 102, miss
  5. D: miss; H: 20, miss
  6. D: 9, miss; H: 19, safe
  7. D: 41, miss; H: 16, miss
  8. D: 12, foul scratch; H: 9, miss
  9. D: 38, miss; H: 10, safe
  10. D: miss; H: miss
  11. D: miss; H: 2 and out

Dennis -- I agree with your stats except for the sequence of innings. (1) The first inning of the game was what you show as the second row of data, i.e., Davis played the opening safe and Hohmann then immediately scratched. So your first line should be deleted. (2) The 10th inning of the game was a miss (almost unbelievable misses in each case!!!) by both players, so that inning (0 for each) should be inserted just above your final line of data.

In other words, what you have as the first inning was actually the 10th inning. See my post #14 above for the correct sequence.

P.S. Thanks for keeping score so well. Both the players and the announcers often had it wrong, but you were able to correct them.

I did not know how that could be so I checked my app history. The above was not a manual recreation of what the Billiard buddy app showed. The BB has an option to email the history. I cut and pasted the email. But you are 100% right. the email to myself from the ipad moved the 10th inning to the front. I will take a picture of the ipad bb results and post and we can compare. Actually the results on the ipad itself also shows whether the inning ended safe, foul or miss. I need to email the app guy again.

I got in an argument with the refs a couple of times. One time in an earlier match they had given Davis too many points. Davis had 131; Charlie made the break shot and got stuck and Davis made all thirteen. They then gave Davis 150. On the scores we were keeping, I put up 144. They told me to change it and I said no. They pointed to the other score up by the players and acted like I had to follow their lead. I told them it was wrong. Then he pointed over to the "official scorer" who had given them the 150 and I told him he was wrong, too. Charlie told them to go with our score. Anyway, the Billiard Buddy made the score keeping very easy.

Hey Dennis if you push in the circle button and the power button at the same time it will take a screenshot of the app or screen you have open. At least that's the way it works on the iPhone. Shouldn't be much different I wouldn't think !
