In Scotch Doubles each member of the team has to carry their own weight. Quite a different format from the old "partners" game. In Texas it's usually the Gals who chose their partners, very carefully. randyg

It truly was in jest. I think that Mr. G. did a great thing by venturing forth with the SD format. It allows a fairly even distribution of table time for the 2 player team. Me thinks it needs a patent.
