Which cue show to go to?

I am gonna go to one cue show this year and they are all fairly accessible to me.....So my question is....Which one do you go to? ICCS in St Louis, Windy city, or Valley Forge? I go to the Derby every year so I will be there as well but looking to attend a show.......Which one is the best to go to?

You can't go wrong with whichever one you pick. Wish I could attend all three.

lawman888...They are all different. The ICCS in St. Louis is the cream of the crop of cuemakers from all over the country, and is mostly about very high end cues. The one in Chicago is a regional show, that will probably not have the ICCS guys there ( could be wrong, but you can check the thread for the Windy City show, as they list the vendors), but will be a chance to see some 'normal' cues and cuemakers. Valley Forge is not a cue show, per se, but a place where you can see a lot of different things, from cues for sale (new and used), to talking to cuemakers about custom cues, to seeing every kind of cue case and pool doodads available. Pick your poison! :D

Problem is I love poison:thumbup:

Yeah, I was just looking at the pictures from last year's WCCS, and what an awesome show! That's a 'must see' for any cue lover on the west coast! I'll be up in MT at that time, or I would be there in a heartbeat!

Does anyone have a date and location for the st. louis show? Thank's in advance.

The ICCS Show is in St. Louis this year, at the Westin St. Louis, and the public showing is on Saturday, October 8, from 1:00pm to 6:00 pm. It is shaping up to be a great one.

Thats the one I have always wanted to check out. I have seen lots of "ordinary" cues in my life but from the pics the cues at the ICCS are nothing short of "extraodinary". There are lots of chances to see Joss and Schon, how often do you get a chance to see a slew of various 5 and even 6 digit cues made by so many different masters of their craft all in one place?

It would be the ICCS for the cues or Valley Forge for the whole overalll experience of cues, cases, gadgets, professional tournament, a slew of people, ect... As a cue show the ICCS would win, but Valley Forge is alot more then just cues.

I will be attending the ICCS and probably the Windy City Cue Show. (lol). Then after that I'll be going down to the Derby. If you can only make one it's a shame. The Windy City will have some great collectors, Dealers, and great cue makers. Which ever show you choose I'm sure you will see some great cues, meet new friends and have a great time.

Does anyone know: is there a web site for the ICCS, St. Louis?

I've looked and can't find one. You know: list of exhibitors, hours, etc. Through the grapevine I've heard they've got something going on at C&C and a golf outing, but not much else. People have asked me and I have no info to give other than it's at the Westin downtown and costs $10 to get in -- stuff you can get off an 8x11 ink-jet flyer I've seen here and there...

If they don't do better, PR-wise, they are looking at a very bleak turnout, IMO.

Lou:

Just exactly what is a model #8x11 ink-jet flyer? You say you've seen those here and there? I admit I've never seen one...

:p

-Sean <-- didn't know there was a type of ink that can be used as jet fuel
