You are 110% correct, I was looking at a different cue. From the photo it looks radial but it's too hard to tell. I blew it up about 500% on my iPad and still can't tell.
Sorry about that.

it looks like the overseas version of the Radial pin, not the UniLoc Radial Pin. The threads are rounded like a radial, but the threads per inch does not exactly match the original Radial Pin made by UniLoc. The overseas is 3/8x8 while UniLoc Radial is 3/8x7.6 something.

It may be an odd ball pin but resembles a Radial more than a 3/8ths X 10.

Either way, that is a nice looking cue.

o thanks!!!! Does that mean i cant buy like a ob classic shaft or predator shaft?????

only if you have the shaft custom made, I'm not sure which cuemaker has the tap for that odd knockoff radial, or you could have the pin replaced to a common pin.

If you call or contact the OB guys, they might be able to make one to fit that pin, if not, they could give you suggestions. You can custom order directly from OB. Predator does not take custom orders, and you can not order directly from them, only through their distributors. With a Predator, the only route to take is to have it custom made from a cue maker from a partial shaft.

I agree, import radial copy. My recollection is they are slightly smaller than a Uniloc.

You have a couple of choices.

- find somone with a uniloc radial cue and see if their shaft fits your cue.

- have a cue maker or shaft manufacturer custom fit a partial. Tiger has the tap for this radial if you want to try them - OB might have one too.

thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!

It won't Chris. Someone sent me an Elite butt and I tried a shaft for a Uniloc Radial. It will screw on part way and thats it.

I tapped a new shaft with a Uniloc tap and tried to see if the difference might be so slight that I could force it to create its own threads. I thought the difference might be the major diameter. No go. Funny that it will screw on part way like nobodies business and then nothing.

I plugged both holes and tapped for a 3/8ths X 10 pin.

I like the Elite cue line myself. Too bad they use a Chinese Radial style pin and it seems like no maker or repairman has a tap for it as of yet. It makes getting an extra or replacement shaft for it pretty much impossible as it stands right now. The only solution is plugging the holes and using a Uniloc Radial or a common pin. Its not like its an serious expensive solution if you happen to like the cue, it just means a bit of unecessary hassle to have to go thru.

Ok Thanks - I know for sure Tiger has the import Tap - some of their older cues used this pin before they scrapped it and went with the Uniloc.

They'll probably charge somewhere around $50 to finish and install a partial of his choice with either a black ring, no ring or a Schon style black and silver ring. They need the handle to fit the shaft. He can buy a Predator or OB Partial or if he wants a Tiger LD which is similar to a 314.
