THIS IS A POOL TABLE MECHANICS AND INSTALLERS DIRECTORY
that includes many of the top people in the business throughout the USA.
Many of the individuals listed service multiple states and a few travel
throughout the USA.

THIS IS "NOT" A THREAD TO POST QUESTIONS ABOUT TABLES OR SERVICES.

I highly recommend that people do NOT do business with Terry Sammons, the "Billiard Specialist" from Winder GA. I worked with him on several occasions and have seen from first-hand experience that he cuts corners with his customers. I could go on about it all day, but for now, here is a "for instance": I have seen him re-use old hard, cracked rail rubbers and then charge the customer for new ones. I told him that's not right to treat people that way. His rationale was that they were Mexicans and don't know the difference anyway. God help you if you are not white and a "good-old-boy". He has nothing nice to say about you behind your back and will be looking for an angle from which to gouge you on the price.

He also seems to have nothing but bad things to say about other mechanics, both local and otherwise. A couple of the mechanics that post frequently on here might know what I'm talking about. Not gonna name names but his unless you really want to get into it, but I am of the opinion that there are plenty of other table mechanics in the Atlanta area. No need to waste your hard-earned $$$ on people that aren't ethical and trustworthy.

Again, this is only my opinion and experience. Take it for what it's worth and make your own decisions.

And the reason you felt compelled to post this in the mechanics directory where this person isn't listed is why???

Well actually, he quoted a post from this thread with the guy's info listed...

I for one appreciate the heads-up. I have actually played in a few tournaments with Mr. Sammons and while he SEEMS like a nice enough guy, I'll steer clear of hiring him to do anything.

This thread is not for discussing or posting about a mechanics quality of work or ethics, good or bad. Regardless who the mechanic is if there are complaints about someones work then most likely they will be removed from the directory. Any kudos or complaints about a mechanic should be discussed by starting a separate thread.

The directory is meant to be simply a by state list of mechanics that do table work. The requirements to be listed are more stringent now then when the list was first started.

This sticky should be deleted and replaced with the BMA.

A collaborative effort by all mechs who within this forum DO endorse each other and submit themselves to standards that are set by us and enforced by us

We can then take care of all the hacks running around by taking over Craigslist for a start

It's easy if you want to. I have a plan.
