omg you can ship a puppy over international waters

Just kidding haha.

GL on your search Dean!

With my limited experience with dogs & puppies, i think you'd be wise to meet the puppy before making a deal. Just because a puppy comes from a proven breed, proven genetic line, doesn't mean it'll be a great pet. I have two bulldogs, an Olde English and an American. Both came from a line of champion level show dogs. I have no intentions of ever showing a dog but wanted pure bred for home insurance purposes (long story) and hopefully no surprises. The American bulldog is adorable, loving, spunky, friendly, outgoing, and all around a great pet, especially for kids. The Olde English bulldog is shy, stand offish, and nervous natured. She has come out of it over the last year & a half but it took a lot of time, work, & patience. Great dogs & very loving, neither is the slightest bit aggressive. Just one was a lot more effort than we bargained for. Also very expensive. Lesson learned was meet the puppy first & decide after spending a lil time with it, or you might get a socially awkward dog that requires more work than you want to invest.

Erit has it right. Meet the puppy or get a video of the puppy interacting with people like yourself, ie kids if you have them.

There is too much involved in raising a skittish, or worse, puppy. I've had a dog that bit people, and a cat that pissed on my chair before. You don't want to mess with either of those.

The said, I've also had wonderful pets that were abused or neglected by their previous owners turn out to be wonderful companions.

Good luck with your search.

Eric, did you get my email?

I have an English bulldog that's seven years old that drools, snores , farts and walks with a little limp. If you throw in a little cash I might be willing to make the trade.

We do grow attached to our pets, don't we?

I had the UGLIEST Albino Persian cat pass away on me this year. He was 10 years old and lived seven years after our veterinarian told us he had six months to live. He looked like someone hit him across the face with a dirty frying pan and he thought he was a dog. I loved that stupid cat.

I'd trade all my cues and my table to have him back with us.

What is it they say about dogs taking on the characteristics of their owners?!?!?! :D

the cue is a Steve Klein, lots of ivory, nothing tricky
i want a collie puppy v and i am willing to overpay

Darn...we just found a home for one of our 2 puppies. They'll turn 9 weeks tomorrow. Their mother is a beautiful short haired sable Sheltie, with great lines. The father, on the other hand, is a pure 'Pom', we were told. Both pups are more like their mom in coloration and bone structure. We'll miss Gracie but I doubt that we'll give up Lucy.

Good luck in your search.

Yup, sure do. They are completly 2 different breeds, but think of all the dog chow you'll save on. LOL Thought I'd just show you what we have. I do believe that we'll be keeping Lucy. She's the with the white on her nose. I will say that Maddy has produced some really nice pups in the past. We have a nice tri-color from a previous litter.

My god, is that a dog or a bear, I have a great dane and she does not look that tall standing.

Bump for Dean, he is definitely one of the best people to deal with on this site.

Yeah, I know we were kind of "hijacking" his thread with all the dog pics, but I figure he wouldn't mind since it was keeping him at the top (thanks Dean).

I've been questioned lion...bear...mountain lion... I'm only 5'7", and the picture was taken at an angle from down below which made her look bigger...however, when she was on her back legs, her front paws were comfortably on my shoulders...I should say comfortable for her - not for me. I think she was upwards of 150 pounds when that pic was taken...she would be considered "petite" for an English Mastiff!!! :yikes:

whoever gets me the dog will be happy with a more valuable cue

I can appreciate your love for a particular breed, my best buddy was an English Bulldog. I miss my buddy every day, lost him in July. He would have been 13 tomorrow.

We have since gotten another Bulldog. I wasn't sold on the idea right away but after checking the little guy out he seemed like he would be a good fit. I guess what I am saying is I agree with Eric, it is a good idea to check out the dog before you pull the trigger. Good luck getting the dog you want.
