That's some line of ferrules, wow, please pm when results are in, thanks in advance.

LBM, Ivorine(s), and aegis(s) are all melamine. I can think of 3 LBM's right off that vary greatly in hardness simply because they are from different manufacturers. I certainly don't mean to complicate your test. It's just that LBM can be anything from a crumby, pitty material that is relatively soft, to a glass hard, very smooth material. If you like, I can send you samples of the three types I have on hand. I might even have more. Cool of you to do the testing, BTW.

ferrule tests

How are you testing them? Shooting with them or a hardness test. ie. durometer?
thanks JerseyBill

I've never known it to be sold in rod sizes to be used for cuemaking, but maybe try a test on a piece of Corian countertop material.

It HAS been used for ferrules by some, just not sold in rod form. The pieces were probably cut from sheet, turned into square stock then round or cut out of the sheet with a plug cutter then turned. Tommy D.

Tommy - Another member Pm'd me and suggested that as well. I asked him if he could get a sample for me.
