Nice Jason! Prolly go something like this: "..... but wait there's more! Order now and receive a free bonus CD on chalking left handed ... just pay extra shipping and handling!"

Somebody get me a black magic rack without a freakin 8-ball rack. That's what I want and need. I refuse to buy the 8 ball rack. If no one can produce this for me, I will buy a Delta-13 customized to say something bad about the magic rack.

Thanks in advance.

When I saw the thread title, I thought we were in for another round of "let's name AKATriggers pool team." :p

Very cool video.

I have a question for those of you have already have the magic rack. How big across is it? Meaning am I going to be able to easily put it in the long pocket of my 4x4 case?

I am assuming they don't fold (or shouldn't).

Thanks, JaD! :)

They do fold, but then sometimes they can get creases. The Tour puts them flat in a binder sorta thing, or maybe the packing it came in?

I'm not sure it would fit in a 4x4.

Kinda what I expected. If I can't pack it into my case, it'll get to be a drag taking them with me to play.

Still pondering how to resolve this in a simple manner. I'd love to try it. Even more, it'll be fun seeing the reactions of the people that I play with. :)

I simply roll mine up and keep it around the butt of one of my cues... works perfectly.

Why not borrow an idea from the postal service? You know those tube mailers for photos, posters, and the like? I'm thinking you can use -- please don't laugh -- the cardboard tube from a roll of Scott Tissue, or any other toilet paper product known for using heavier/stiffer cardboard tubes. It's light, protects the Magic Rack well, and it's not so obtrusive as to be inconvenient. It'll certainly fit one side of your cue case's zippered top pocket.

Or, if you want to go all-out, I'm sure you can find some PVC tubing (e.g. inch-and-a-half) that you can custom cut and sand the cut edges' burrs from?

Hope this is helpful,
-Sean

Great ideas, gang. As for rolling it around the butt of one of my cues, wouldn't work in my Proper case. (Way too snug) I see how it works nicely for you, very cool.

Sean's idea has a bit more potential for me. I'd have to remove some junk from the long pocket to make it work, but that's not a deal-killer. It does lead me to this question... the material they are made of is such that they lay flat nicely after being rolled up?

And if they roll up that nicely, perhaps I could make use of the currently unoccupied 4th cue spot in the case. (Of course that might pose a problem someday, but that will be a happy problem!)

Neat ideas. This might happen after all.

It lays pretty flat even after being rolled up in my case. The edges might have the slightest curl to them but it doesn't effect the way it racks at all. I usually roll it back up the other way once I'm done and when I get home at night I'll usually take it out of the case and lay a book on it...

I carry it around rolled up all the time and the thing works perfectly for me.

I'm wondering how your Porper case could be too snug for it unless you put the butt in joint first... assuming it's a tube case like most Porpers.

Thanks, BP! I thought I heard from other peeps that rolls it up easy with no creases. I love confirmations.

It is always color with you Mikey. LOL

Also, I am in favor of anything that involves Melinda's hands, what beautiful hands they are:thumbup::embarrassed2::embarrassed2::thumbup:

Thanks for this feedback. I'm thinking that the cardboard tube idea might even help avert those curled corners (which, in the process of a hard break, may disturb a ball returning to the rack area after rebounding off a cushion -- the curled edge may interrupt the natural path of the ball).

Cardboard tubes, like that used when shipping photos, drawings, posters, etc. -- avoid curled edges by the very natural effect of allowing the document to "unfurl" inside, locking it in place, and keeping a consistent shape to it. I know that acetate plastic (such as the Magic Rack is made of) "wants" to stay flat (unlike paper, which "wants" to curl), so it'd be interesting to see if the cardboard tube idea works.

Anyway, justadub, let us know how this works!

Yeah, my Proper requires the butts to go in joint first. I know, I know... but I'm real careful with it.

Thanks for the ideas.
