Thats a real problem with pool-everyone lives in the past. He made a few bad business moves , what ever. Today he is a great guy and a good friend. I dont pick sides, I dont live in the past. CW is cool with me and we should be behind him.

Just a hypothetical question. Suppose there is a certain amount of truth to the other allegations leveled against CW.

Should the people involved take the same cavalier forgive and forget approach?

Apparently we at AZ are a form of amusement to some of the Pro players and members of the APB. Thats good, I hope our opinions do nothing more than provide a good laugh. I doubt it tho. I believe our opinions count for a tad more than that. They may find out just how much more in the future.

You guys play, we support. No support, no play. Might come around and bite you in the buttski some day in the near future.

So Daz feels Charlie is the best man for the job. That could be perceived as a slap in the face to the venerable Nick Varner, no? Does Daz now want what is in the best interests of the US team? A Euro now wants to critique the US fans opinions on the leader of the US Mosconi Cup team? I say the US team be led by a US man, not a guy who plays for Korea when it suits his monetary interests.

Most American pool fans do not have to depend on Charlie Williams for a future paycheck, or better "seeding" in upcoming tournaments, so they are free to speak their minds.

The pros, on the other hand...
 
You know what's REALLY sad?

That the so-called greatest country on Earth, lone SuperPower, best place to live, hardest working people etc.... are getting all worked up over a made-for-tv event that DEPENDS on getting people riled up months beforehand and is produced by a company in another country. So you all let Matchroom dictate your emotions by allowing yourselves to be manipulated by the producers of a reality show.

And what's even WORSE is that the "USA" can't produce anything close. Nothing. For all of our might, and wealth and amount of people we can't produce ANYTHING at all that can rival the Mosconi Cup? So in the end the biggest event of the year is not the Derby City Classic, or the US Open, or any of CSI's events.

No, it's the made for tv show called the Mosconi Cup with contrived "controversies" to get people fired up.

Strictly my opinion, but I've been around him enough at various events to see -- with my own two peepers -- that he's a dick. Like I said, just my opinion, but I don't say that about many (anyone else) guys.

Maybe he's different around guys with big money.

If I remember correctly, isn't Daz a member of the ABP? Or at least a public supporter? Why on earth would he say anything publicly that would seemingly go against the JA/CW/Dragon/ABP collective?

I realize you're close with JA, Eric, but you gotta admit that on the surface, it seems like quite a cozy arrangement.

I'll still be rooting for our guys, and Mike Dechaine in particular. But I'm not so patriotic as to not recognize what appears in front of me. Obviously I do not know anything about the inner workings of what is left of professional pool. But I still think a little skepticism isn't unwarranted.

In order for you to have things you never had before, you must be willing to do things you never done before. If you cant you will remain in your shitty life forever. My life was in the shitter I didnt like it and got up and walked out of it. Looking here now comming back would be walking back into the shitter. Think about it, see you at the gym-looking towards the future, not grinding about the past.

A persons outlook will determine their future. What are you doing to make your future better?? Then dont ***** a bout the past or count my $$. Only nits count other peoples $$$, players in life only count their own-cause counting others $$ is a waste of time. Course if ya dont value your time then its cool. And brokes dont value their time.

Should we forgive Jerry Sandusky from Penn State because he's a nice guy? Some things are difficult to forget and forgive. There have been enough accusations about Charlie's unwanted advances to women (at least they are not to young boys) to make me a believer. And then there is the seeding and threats to boycott if his "guys" don't get preferential treatment.

I will still root for USA to win the Mosconi cup, but the choice of Mr. Williams as a captain is a joke in my opinion.

I don't own nor covet Lambos or Balabushkas, but I do sleep very well
when I put my head down for the day.
My biggest scam in life is working hard and proving to the people that I work for
that I am worth the pay check every two weeks.
