That fine is nothing to a guy that is reportedly worth billions. All I know is, KT is an annoying, pompous SOB. IMHO, he ruined Sigel's reputation by insisting he change his nickname to "The Mouth" and trying to be the bad boy of pool. I know many here will disagree and that Sigel never had a great rep, but Mike was always nice to me and I have nothing but respect for him. Trudeau on the other hand can DIAF.
I think He recently made a cd series,
teaching about the laws of attraction..."make all your dreams come true ...

OKAYLETSPLAY...That's blatently untrue. KT is a con man. The Rones were not con men. They just refused to accept direction and help from people who had promoted events like their's before, or had prior experience with these kinds of events. As a result participation and audience numbers were low, causing them the reduce the payouts in the middle of the tournament. That, in itself, does not make them 'con men'...simply hardheaded (which cost them a deep pockets investor, and the trust of the pool world at large).

And Jeremy Jones and JoeyA had Alot of good thigs to say about the event,
and the accommodations and such
The billions is as phony as everything else he does.

What goes around comes around. KT will probably die a painful death from one of those diseases he conned people into thinking he had a cure for. That would be poetic justice.
Kevin is a supersmart guy ,that in his book Natural cures alot of the info was from Doctors and Naturopaths.Alot of his cures in his book really do work and have worked for millions thats why his next books sold out in minutes of debut.To think of debating this guy on any of the topics he has written about would be pointless.This guy makes money and is brilliant in his field.I know he got into the Pool scene for awhile but there was alot more to the story and alot of people involved in the money end of what was going on.Just because somebody gives advice,at the end of the day its up to the person whether they should use it or not.
It took THIRTEEN YEARS for a Federal court to finally levy this fine against him. Wonder how many more years it will take to make him pay? He is not only the King of infomercials, he's the King of the slow pay! I predict several more years of court battles (all the way to the Supreme Court), a few million in legal fees (I'm sure they get their money up front!) and finally a settlement. He'll be an old man by then, a scammer till the end! His karma is long overdue.
And meanwhile he could not care less what a bunch of broke pool players think. I'm not a fan of his or anything, but i just think this is the american way. Do you think all big business or say churches get their money without lying and manipulating. I guess it all comes down to how far are you willing to go though, and KT is willing to go very far it seems, I will say that. Yet so are business leaders with lobbying etc.
Bobby Rone and Kevin Trudeau should not be mentioned in the same sentence. Bobby is a good guy that tried to do something good for pool. No one showed up for the teams events. He lost his ass on that event. The mistake Bobby made was not qualifing the pay-outs based on attendance levels. Galveston is not Vegas.
Trudeau on the other hand is a scumbag.
At the end of the day, Kevin Trudeau is as slimy as it gets, I could care less how smart he is.
I saw one of his infomercials, and you would have to be an idiot to believe what he is saying and buy those books.
Millions of people sent money to Jim & Tammy Baker's PTL club too.
Have you read any of his books?All the info in his Natural Cures books were not just his brain at work.Doctors,Naturopaths and people in Sports Medicine helped him with alot of the books.You may not like him but to say eveything in those books are false is just simply wrong.Even Jim and Tammy Baker who I agree were 2 wankers still made millions along with alot of those same type of Religious types that are on tv today.The problem isn't these people,the problem lies within the general public who aren't smart enough to figure out whats a scam and what isn't and would rather be a sheep than take the reins.
I'm sure that there is some great info in the books. But, the issue with KT was that he wasn't allowed to appear in infomercials due to the coral calcium fiasco about a cure for cancer. It's pretty sick to use the desperate in attempt to make money. His crime isn't the books he is peddling but the manner in which he marketed them.
