Got "Drilled" by the Dentist...

I was at Hawaiian Brian's Billiards the other night, when Neil called me over to introduce me to his friend "Jerry", visiting from Los Angeles...
"Jerry" , was here on vacation visting friends and family and brought his cue..
He said he didn't play for about 10 years and now he has time to Play pool again..
After our conversation, "David",... Hawaii's 2nd most sucessful Hustler.... Asked me who that guy was and, if he's lookin' for action..
I told Dave to leave "Jerry" alone, because he's just started playing again and he's here for vacation.. Don't go and try to rob him...

About an hour later, I heard "David" played "Jerry" and quite after 3 games!! :shocked: :confused:
My other friend, who also heard the news, turned to me and said, "Is that the "Pro" that's here?"....
I said, "What Pro???? I heard he was a dentist!!! " :shocked2:
I felt bad, as if I helped set Dave up for walking into a bad game.. :o

Classic PoolRoom Drama.... :p

He is Hawaii's 2nd Most SUCESSFUL Hustler....
Champions have Heart.. Hustlers have a desire to make money easily and not lose it friviously... (Spelling?)
There's guys here who will "bet-up" something and "Fire more than 3 Barrels"..

JJ, No, Tobias was a good player and one of the nicest guys I've ever met.. He was a good House Pro.. I'd watch him go to help many people playing and in no time, it seemed as if they knew one another for years!! He's so easily to converse with and is a gentleman at all times..
The pool scene is dying and HB's is more into Night Club Entertainment.

Jerry is a nice guy and plays plenty although I don't think he plays enough to stay 100% in stroke.

He's from our area here in the San Fernando Valley. I have not played him but I know he's a great player, will play cheap or gamble a little but he doesn't do it for the money, he plays for recreation and the love of the game.

I had a good laugh with Jerry on the 2nd night. I told him I didn't know he was that good. And, Jokingly said he "Set me up".. LOL :p

I introduced him to Dean and they played , but, I left so I don't know who won..
I saw 1 shot.. When Dean played safe.. Jerry kick at the 7 from behind the 8 ball and I knew he wasn't no beginner...

Are we talking about Jerry Lin? A friend of mine watched him play back in the day in college. He said he was amazing what he could do. My friend did mention a gambling match where Jerry was giving up amazing weight as well as playing one-handed off-handed jacked up, and still won.
 
Something else about Visiting Hawaian Brians is

looking at there cue selections-- Theres Tads in the case ,Showmans, A Barry Szamboti with gold in it,in the glass case(20,000.) and aka uses a Kerscbrock. food for thought- and Rodney Morris comes around. mark

That is him. Jerry went to dental school at UAB about 15 yrs. ago after graduation moved to California. He use to play at The Break when it was on 7th ave So.

No where near Pro Speed but he does play great.
 
Yeah, playing a dentist you have to expect to get drilled. I used to play straight pool with a guy who ran a funeral home. He was very good at finding dead balls in the pack. He sure knew dead wen he saw it!
