And having that terrible feeling my new player would never settle in my case where it belongs, it finally arrived today! Here is my new wrapless purpleheart titlist conversion. 3/8-10 pin, hoppe ring, and 2 shafts. Kept the ringwork, and cue as simple as possible. This ones not a case queen, it's going everywhere I go.
Conversion was done by (in my opinion one of the most underrated cue makers out there) Mr. Mike Erwin:thumbup:

Nice cue, that feeling must be going around. I bought a cue on Ebay almost 3 weeks ago and the USPS lost it. It went to the wrong state then was damaged and eventually lost when it went to another state. The seller did not insure it and I just got refunded today. The guy was very understanding and I really hope he comes out ok on the deal and gets his cue back. I also sent a cue overseas recently and there was a mixup there as well, not a big deal and it all worked out ok but its still not an easy feeling.

Me too!

Oh man am I in this boat right now. I shipped a cue to Norway one month ago now and it has yet to be delivered. My tracking (USPS priority) of course still shows it leaving Chicago and being on its way to the destination. I'm going crazy trying not to worry, but I'm very hopeful the cue is just held up in customs there. I've been told that the Netherlands is real bad when it comes to hold ups like this. I know the purchaser has been very eager and great with his patience thus far. Got my fingers crossed :embarrassed2:

That's a very nice titilist conversion by the way, congrats!

Regards,
Mo

Yea, after about the 6th day I began to worry that the cue was long gone. I've never had priority take more than 5 days and that was only once. Most of the time they hit the 2-3 day "expected delivery". The cue plays very well, and I like the simpleness of the cue. All the way up until the cue received its 2nd turn on the lathe we thought it was rosewood (it was so dirty). We were surprised to see that purpleheart show it's face. Although rosewood is more rare, I'm kinda glad it's purpleheart. Better pictures coming today with natural sunlight.

What does something like that cost and how much time does it take, several months? Want to get a similar cue converted.

Very nice work, classic! Bet she hits sweet too. Good luck with it, and Happy New Year!

Never never never

NEVER ship a cue priority...spend the extra 20-30 and ship EXPRESS mail service...guaranteed 2 days to most places, and if they F it up, they will reimburse you!

Its the only guaranteed service and the cheapest relative to UPS and FEDEX

Mike Erwin makes very solid hitters, I bet this cue crushes balls. Congrats, great looking player. Mike is good at getting cues out fast, so jump on him, if anybody wants one. No 8 year wait, lol.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! What people don't know doesn't hurt them. I keep Mr. Erwin occupied regularly. As a matter of fact I have another Hoppe in the works with him right now. Thanks or the compliments. This cue plays as good as anything I've ever owned. Mikes a great guy, I'd recommend him to anyone. Not too many cue makers call you to wish you a Merry Chrstmas.....Mike did.

Great looking hoppe, mike is a great guy to deal with, I have three cues by him and love every one of them.
