Earl telling Joe Rogan that pool is alot more difficult than golf...................................................................................................................................................................................................
OMFG

I've always agreed with this. Obviously the golf swing is much more complicated but there is more margin for error in golf. Pool played at the highest level has nearly zero margin for error.

So, while golf may be more complicated it doesn't require quite the precision.

Yup, agreed. I've said the same. In golf you shoot until the ball is in the hole. In pool if you don't put the ball in the hole the first time, you may never get another chance. You only take turns in pool when the other guy misses.

Pool is more difficult than golf?
Hahaha, thats a laugh. Tell that to the 5 year olds that kick my butt at miniature golf. And bowling.
Hahahaha!

i agree! a very good pool player can turn pro and have some success but a very good golfer would not even make it to the pro's...my opinion

perfect game

there have been many (147) perfect games in snooker and many perfect games in pool (break and run-out), what would be a perfect game in golf 18? I don't think there have been any.

Didnt sports illistrated do an article many years ago saying that pool was the hardes game to master of all non physical sports?

Golf is for pretentious suckers. Most people play it because that game is on the radar. And we know how important it is for followers to "look" like they are living life correctly :-)

Kind of like starbucks...

Obviously this is from someone who has never golfed before.

actually a perfect game in golf is shooting par. most pro's shoot better than perfect. but a scratch golfer is theoretically able to reach the pro level

but if you want to be realistic 59 is probably as good as it gets and there have been a few.

I think we would see a lot better pool and players if the money was there ....you put a 1m prize package together and I think you would see a lot of great players come out of the woodwork ....

I would like to see earl hit a 320 yard drive ....i'd give him say 100 chances and see what he can come up with. and how the hell does he know if tiger can play pool or not? I bet Tiger could get closer to beating earl in pool than earl could get to tigers golf score ....that's for sure ....

I've played golf at a high level, and obviously I play pool as well. I don't think one is harder than the other. In a lot of ways golf is more difficult, but pool is more difficult in other ways. Apples and oranges here folks.

My response would be, if pool is so much harder than golf then why not devote your time to golf, ya know, where you can make some REAL money? If Earl is one of the best pool players ever then he should be able to compete with the top golfers in the world in short order.

I heard that cavemen had this same argument about a million years ago.One things for sure though "most" pool games have alot more luck In them than any golf does.I'd say take out the luck factor and they would be on the same level.. John B.

That is true. Id play jam up if I did though :-)

Im sure golf is fun for you guys. But thats not why most people pick it up. 99% of golfers are guys who are mostly concerned with appearances. That, in itself, is reason enough for me to look down on it. I certainly dont want to be grouped with the common man chasing somebody elses dreams.

Followers vs leaders is a large topic with lots of interesting behaviors. look it up and see where you fit in :-)

And another thing I thought quite funny was his comment about shooting in the 60's a number of times on the golf course.........C'mon Earl,add another 1,500 yards onto your local dirt track golf course.These courses these guys play on these days are 7,000 + yard golf courses where you have to hit your tees shot 260 yards just to make it to the 60 foot wide fairway,and then you have a 240 second shot ON A PAR 4.
BIG DIFFERENCE.

Golf = harder
Pool = easier

Earl = self-centered, egotistical, loud-mouthed, whining cry baby who can't see the forest because of his big head is in the way-fool

I play both, and I am adequate at both. In my opinion, you cannot compare the two. Different set of skills for each. In my opinion, both are very hard to perform at a very high level. I love both games very much, and the one statement I will make is that I think pool is more of a chess match at the highest level than golf is. But as far as either being harder than the other, I really do not think they can be compared.
