Move over Efren... SVB is the best all around player in the world. If he could make money in straight pool, he would master that too. 1st in 9ball, 1st in one pocket and 2nd in banks... Unreal. Say what you want, but he's currently the best all around in the world.
 
yep, this week he is the best in the world. Too bad about the banks, would have been the first sweep in derby city history.

Congrats to Shane and his "aiming system" :-) Been a great week for both.
 
Svb was def the best this week. Svb is an amazing player with amazing dedication to the game. imo I do believe that if he didnt play on those larger (yes 4 1/2 with new cloth) pockets his one pocket game as far as moving is sub par to many to the players in the tournament. His shot making ability is amazing but if the tournament was held on 4" holes I think the tournament would be drastically different. Just my worthless 02.

SVB is the best,this past dcc confirms it,sure guys have beaten him in heads up play,but he still wins those match ups at about a 90% rate,Cleary u r 100% rite,nobody anywhere would beat SVB playing a race to 100 in rrotation,race to 20 in 1pocket and race to 50 in 9ball banks,no player ever in history in there best ever playing days could match SVB in this type of format,NOBODY!

i DONT THINK NOBODY will ever win all three events at dcc,but just maybe SVB.

One of the commentators Sat. night mentioned that Efren is still considered to be the best rotation player in the Philippines. If I were a betting person, I'd take Efren against Shane in the 100/20/50 format you mention above. But we'll have to space it out over about two weeks to allow the old guy to be at his best.

Wouldnt that be and awesom match up,think about all the money that match would generate,i could not argue your choice,i would give Busti a look also,but i do believe with this format 100/20/50 no luck would b involved,the best player will win,but these 3(svb,efren,busti)players are so close skill wise,SVB does not have to win,but i would bet my money on SVB!

Everybody gets a shot to be that one time a year in January. It was three tournaments with short sets against monster fields.

2cnd in banks, 1st in one hole and 1st in 9 ball is pretty impressive no matter you look at.

And honestly without a little hiccup he probably would have taken the banks.

Pretty freaking strong iffn you ask me. Especially with Orcullo, Efren, Busty and the gang all there.

Of course in rotation I have to bet on Effy all day and all night. Also I don't know if Shane can fade Efren's one pocket just yet in a long session for the dough.
 
if i was a pro i'd value a DCC master of the table (with a 1st in one of the three divisions) title more than any world title.

I wonder how he feels, i mean thats big feet, it really is, I like the player, I like the guy, props to him, I'm so happy that he is doing that, so so solid
 
And on top of it all it was reported that Shane is going to play Busty for 30,000 in California and was looking to set up an all around for another 30k with Efren.

That's balls to go after the guy who just beat you out of 10k and triple the bet and to challenge the best living player to an all-around.

Win or lose that shows amazing heart on Shane's part and on his backer's part.

I strongly suspect his strong fundamentals and great cue action is more responsible for his success than his (yawn) aiming system.

Ya think? Gosh thanks for the insight.

But he also uses an aiming system, self admittedly. Bummer for you who would love to think that aiming is a non-issue.

So it's another great week for system aimers.

Stevie Moore takes second in the Fatboy Challenge and second in the DCC 9 ball. Shane makes history with his domination.

Darren Appleton another system aimer won the US Open.

Johnny Archer who uses an aiming system took second along with Jeanette Lee in the World Mixed Doubles.

System aimer and pro instructor Stan Shuffet finishes high in the US Open knocking off several champions along the way.

Been a great year so far for us amateurs who like to mess with aiming systems and who need pro role models. Thanks pros!
