Lee Brett making a splash at the U.S. Open

You guys do what u want but as much as I hate to do it I'll def be saying I told u so very soon. I've never met Joey Aguzin but i've listened to his commentary and know a couple people that've been around him and have alot of respect for him. This is the main reason I ever said the first thing in this thread. I'm just trying to look out for someone who has a great rep on here. I don't know alot of you personally and for that I'm sorry but this guy is disturbed! Skeletons in the closet is one thing but I'd trust a starving-crackhead before this guy. Do what you will with the words I typed here and believe me or not. This is just me trying to look out for all of you at the expense of 1 person, Think about that for a second.

I have no more to say here and if I've offended anyone(other than LB) I apologize.

With all due respect are you really trying to sell us on how bad this guy is without even telling us what he did wrong? No offense buy your word alone is not enough. I have no clue who you even are.

Mika does not elbow drop on all shots. As I have mentioned a million times, the issue is WHEN the elbow moves. If it is after contact with the CB, it doesn't affect striking the CB accurately. If it is prior to, or at contact, there can be plenty of miscalculation on where the tip actually strikes the CB. Pro players like Mika, and others, have perfect timing, which allows them to use this technique. Amateur players do not, and therein lies the problem. BTW, the elbow drop does not produce anything exceptional to the outcome of the shot, that cannot be duplicated without dropping the elbow.

Perhaps this video of Allison Fisher might change your mind about the elbow drop, or not........

TK and Kevin know their s%$t. Both are pretty good judges of character. I've heard what that guy did to earn a bad rep around here (Columbia). It makes me want to get in his face. Alot of people can go out of town, smile pretty and talk themselves up like an upstanding person. But get the low down from where they've been before putting halos around their heads.

So if you now what he did instead of just hinting that he did some thing bad just say what you know.

Never met the man..so I have no judgement on this individual issue.

However, sociopaths are people to avoid. True manipulators. This I have had some experience with.

I read throught this entire thread today, didn't take long. Noticed that much of it is from 2009 with just a few recent posts. While I appreciate the spirit of what you appear to be trying to say (be leary of certain types of people), your second paragraph almost reads as if you are implying someone (Lee) is a sociopath. This is far from the truth. I know Lee and in fact he stayed in my guest room a month before the recent DCC and will be staying again this spring in my guest room when he is in Vegas.

Lee is a sincere, hardworking guy who has been 100% straight, level headed and honest with me. I've too met some sociopathic behavior, Lee does not and has never demonstrated anything close to it.

My opening sentence made it quite clear that I've never met Lee. No implication intended.

It is nice to see decent, honest people and non anonymous people who have met Coach Lee Brett and see them dispel these terrible and ugly insinuations. I agree with Holly that that the innuendos should never have been started and should end now.

Lee is a talented pool guy WITH LOTS OF KNOWLEDGE and is from England trying to make it in America. Let's give the guy a chance to teach us what he knows about cueing arts.

To my knowledge, Lee may be the first teacher/coach/instructor/author to come from Europe and share some of the European cueing arts.

It's not easy overcoming a language barrier and a culture different than your own.

well,

i know Lee just from talking/discussing via internet. We have had really nice chats about instructing, how to transfer stuff etc. -and also nice small-talks.
From those conversations i just can say, that it was really interesting and nice.
And that he has knowledge is sure- that s my opinion.

gl + hf in chikago Lee :)

thanks for everyone's kind words..

I just wanted to say, i met the guy who all this was about, and we shook hands and have no hard feelings with each other.

Cameron, with all due respect, you sound like you have no clue about the pendulum stroke. What on earth makes you think that anyone can NOT do that without moving the elbow???

I don't believe I said you can't do it. Rather I think what I was trying to say as long as you're able to achieve that goal it should not matter, at least I think that is what I meant. To be fair it was a 2.5 year old post and my understanding of various concepts has changed and evolved in the intervening years.

Lee Brett

As Chicago mob boss Tony "Big Tuna" Accardo once said about New York mob family boss, Joe Bonanno, at a mafia council meeting to determine the fate of Mr. Bonanno, who was being considered for elimination, "Joe Bonanno is a friend of mine!" That statement ended all thoughts of violence against Mr. Bonanno.

So I also say (not with the clout of a Tony Accardo,of course), "Lee Brett is a friend of mine!"
