Working with a great cuemaker right now, I certainly commend his patience
One day I will stop bothering him and be building on my own. As for now I have no equipment, but have been stocking up on wood every time I get a few extra bucks. Recently bought 25 squares, they came shipped in a cardboard shipping box, perfect fit......
So that had me thinking, & was wanting to get some different opinions & learn some things from all of you that have been working & storing wood for years......when storing wood, would it be ok to leave it in the box it is shipped in or would it be best to take it out & put it on shelving?
Also lets say I have a 36" piece of wood & only 24" shelves, is it bad to leave the extra length hanging off, will it allow the wood to be more susceptible to warpage?
Thanks to all that take the time to answer, I am about to start building shelving for storing stock & really only want to do it once!!
