Thanks for sharing Geno. Sorry it's taken so long but I wanted to work on what we've worked on before I posted.
I can honestly say that Geno is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. You can really see his passion for the game.
It's really odd when you assume you were right eye dominant your whole life only to find out otherwise. Geno, I hope you didn't take my frustration as being tired, it's just that I'm not used to having that kind of intensity playing for that period of time. It's always slightly frusturating learning something new but you could tell once I was doing it right it was really enjoyable. I've never played pool with that level of focus for that period of time. It was really fun. Anyways, after the lesson I ask him if he wants to play a couple of racks. Just in case you all were wondering if Geno call only talk the talk, well, you'd be mistaken. The man can play!
The next thing I look down at my phone and it's 12:15a.m. We'd been practicing and playing for over 5 hours without ever looking at a watch and it seemed like it flew by. I can't thank you enough Geno.
I hesitate to type this but it needs to be said for Geno's character. Long story short there was a miscommunication on the $ and I was $80 short. There was no ATM at the pool room and the quicke mart next door was already closed. Needless to say I felt like a real heel. I offered to to go find a gas station nearby and he said "no, don't bother. Just go onto my website and paypal me later." So, for any of you who think this guy is just out to make a quick buck I don't know what more proof you need.
It's still alot of hard work but at least I know how to get lined up right and what to do when things go wrong, and guess what? Everytime I start missing a couple of shots, I force myself to slow down, line myself up as far to the right and then the world is right again. Old habbits die hard but when I really focus good things happen. Just yesterday I'm shooting league 8 ball and I'm on the 8 but kinda bad position. I'm about 3 inches from the ball and about an 80 degree cut. I used that tip reflection trick you taught me and split the cup. That is a neat little trick and worth a few bucks itself
Thanks for everything Gene. I hope to play you again sometime just for kicks if you ever get some free time. I know work is keeping you pretty busy. Btw, you think that kid at the front table with the pierceings is ready for a game? I know I am
