Hey guys and gals...

Thinking of buying a Spitz cue. Had a chance to test hit one yesterday.

Any reviews?

I'd love to hear good, bad, or ugly about the cues.

However from the one I test hit, I have to say I'm impressed.

Always open to advice, suggestions, critiques and concerns.

Thanks,
best,
Fox.

What's cracklin', bro?

I have never hit with one...but saw several at SBE last year. I looked 'em over REAL well, and by all outward appearances, the fit/finish/attention to detail is great. I was impressed to see such work in a cue made by what most would call a relative "unknown" in the cue world.

Certain this doesn't really help much...but that's all I got! :)

Be good,

Mark

I have never hit or seen one. I have a friend that's very picky about cues and cue makers. From what he says. You can't buy from a nicer guy and right now his cues are a bargain.

I have 2 and both hit the exact same. I love the hit, it is a firm hit without that ping sound I can't stand. Very solid and the weight balance is excellent in my opinion.

unfortunately, I have not hit with one either so I have no experience.

I know Dennis Orcollo is supposed to be shooting with his cue now and Dennis had been shooting with a Southwest before.

I know he is doing some things with Bobby Hunter and Bobby is a very precise and exacting craftsman who makes excellent cues, so I would guess that Spitz cues are probably well made.

I've seen him around and he seems to be a nice guy.

Sorry, but that is all I have.

No worries IMO & experience

I have owned several of Jon's cues over the last couple of years and have a couple more coming soon. My personal experiences have been nothing short of what I would expect. From attention to detail, finish, balance, qaulity woods & materials used, to most importantly...Playability, I would say you would be happy with your purchase. I'll also add his most recent work in adding his own splice work is impressive. His growing abilities and worksmanship have definitely been note worthy. Plus as mentioned by Alton, he's a terrific and nice person to work with. Great family man!

Hope this helps in your decision

spitz cues

I own 3 currently and have another in the works. Jon's cues have tremendous playability. His cues always feature near perfect balance. He uses great materials, try a premium maple shaft with a micarta ferrule...awesome...buy with 100% confidence!

Spitz stole a $500 deposit for a custom cue from me. After almost 4 years wait, he attempted to pawn off a cue which in no way resembled the specs we had agreed upon. I have documentation on all of this. BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WTH JOHN SPITZ.

I have a few Jon Spitz cues and all of them play great and are constant. All my Jon Spitz's cues are fullsplices made from John Davis blank. Yes, Dennis used to played with one very same as mine and he says he loved the way it played.
I have actually one for sell here in Ebony and Bocote so check it out if it interests you.
Kindest regards
Davor
