Offer constructive tips on Shanelle's game

Tap, tap, tap! If CW really knew how to teach, then Shanelle would have an accurate and repeatable stroke by now. Unfortunately she does not.

I'm not trying to make this an R rated post but she does appear to have large breasts and they could be something she needs to work around. I tried helping a lady with exceptionally large breasts improve her game and realized that she really did have a handicap. She could not stroke the cue like I tried to teach her to because her breasts were hampering her movement with her stroke. Maybe it would be a good idea for her to see if she could get a lesson from Karen Corr. Karen is a great player and she also seems to have large breasts.

Is this BS Scott or have you ever run into this with one of your students?

I ran into that giving Golf lessons. One day, a lady student with large breasts was having some obvious problems with a particular shot. She stopped her practicing, stood up & looked straight at me. She then said, "would you like to hold these, (cradling her breasts) while I play Golf.....

I know my face blinked red for 5 minutes,,, of course I would have held her breasts, but she wouldn't be able to play better golf.

Maybe Shanelle will be able to turn her game around & still be gorgeous while she's doing it.

Rickw...Absolutely not BS. Just like someone who has an abnormally large belly, a woman with an abundant chest will likely need to change her stance slightly more open, to accomodate a free-range movement of the cue, along her natural range of motion (using a pendulum swing). It doesn't have to be as radical as a snooker stance, but changing slightly will likely help. Again, just another reason why there is no 'one size fits all' style of stance for everyone. Personally I don't think this is as much of a problem for Shanelle, as not having a start and finish for her stroke.

First thing Shanelle needs to do is take two weeks off pool.

Don't play pool
Don't read about pool
Don't talk about pool
Don't think about pool

Then she should just quit.

Be coached by someone that is not there because she is hot and will do something to help her.

For as much training as she is supposed to of had, she can not execute simple shots I can teach in a week.

For her sake I am glad she in not making a living shooting pool.[/QUOTE

TAP TAP TAP

Didn't watch it and am glad I didn't, there seems to be a big push because someone is good looking to put them in some trumped up match or on some team. I like to watch good pool and if they happen to be good looking that's a bonus.

HINT: Jennette Lee learned how to play first-----Then went out and looked good under the lights.
Works better this way

Thanks Scott. It's kind of a delicate subject, but as I suspected, one that can be a real dilemma. I'm not an instructor by any means but sometimes you see someone that just needs so much help and when they ask (I always wait to be asked) I feel obliged to help them as much as I can.

Anyone that agrees to a match that is going to be on video for all to see has to be interested in playing well. I hope both of the ladies get professional instruction. Watching themselves on tape should convince them how much they need good instruction.

This link is of the recent match against Borana.

Perhaps Shanelle would appreciate some helpful tips to help her game. AZB has some very knowledgeable people and perhaps we can make a difference.

She obviously takes the game seriously and as someone that is fortunate enough to get exposure, I for one would like to see her advance her game and reach more people. She seems to be a very classy person from my armchair.

To me, she looks nervous and self-conscious. She's really grinding.

Wow, it would be hard to play pool like that!

She has to forget about the audience and focus on the game, let the stroke flow and establish some consistent rhythm. She has to start thinking in positive terms instead of worrying about making mistakes. She needs to start thinking about what she is trying to do and not worry about what may go wrong.

I also think she needs more experience in high profile competitive situations.
