Looking for cues by Gus Szamboti, Barry Szamboti, Gina, Tascarella, Scruggs, Mottey, Showman, or another top maker.......I have a 6 window Gus that I would trade for the right cue or would sell outright for the right cue and it can be seen here......it's next to the Barry hoppe.....http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=271351&page=2

It's very player friendly at 19.5.....12.9 and 12.5 original shafts and has a slightly slimmer butt handle. Also probably the straightest Gus I have ever seen......hopefully i can buy a couple here and please NO PICS IN THREAD.....I want to buy privately:grin:

Maybe the title is throwing people off....Let me break it down....I want to give people CASH for cues made by Gina, both Szamboti's, Showman, Tascarella, Mottey or any other TOP maker......Alot of guys try to sell these type cues in the "wanted/for sale" section of AZ billiards. You may now SKIP that step and send the cues to me Just having fun guys,,,I'm a little sleep deprived but I DOOOOOO want to buy Hoppe cues.

Sounds like a sweet deal! I'm sure anyone with a little intelligence that doesn't need money isn't willing to sell those cues in a down market. Great for us buyers, but not for the sellers.

i only post this in response to the smack in the face it seems your laying on the thread. we all love money, some need it more then others.

no need to get worked up an feel the need t belittle people, because there not willing to be robbed in a down marked. Take it for what it is. Call the makers an get in line with the rest of us.

What are you even talking about? Do people buy cues on the secondary market? Should I call Gus Szamboti? Nobodies getting worked up but you as you come in a wanted/for sale thread start running your jibbers about something you know nothing about. I am doing nothing but buying cues, and I am selling cues as well. I guarantee I have a Gus for sale CHEAPER than ANY dealer on the planet would sell it for. If you buy it (ha ha) would you be "robbing" me? Please stay out of threads that you know nothing about. I am sure the hundreds of people who have offered me cues on here and I have bought without blinking an eye would agree. Huh? This makes no sense to me, could you explain yourself please? Seems to me people sell because they would rather have the cash than the item, buyers buy because they would rather have the item than their cash. I'm having a tough time seeing how lawman being willing to buy in this (what you call a) down market when maybe some other people aren't willing to buy is doing the sellers a disservice. What is it he's doing wrong in your eyes?

I already asked him this in a pm...(which is where he should have mentioned something to me anyway) but he said I was basically saying (I'm rich) because I want to buy cues in a "down market" <<his words, and that You all (the people who have the cues) are poor because they wont sell them to me LOL....again his words......I was being funny like I always do when bumping, but I dont think he is missing any MENSA meetings if you know what I mean:thumbup:

You know, if its a down market and you are buying stuff from people that want to sell, I'm having a bit of trouble seeing that as a bad thing. But seeing this guy thinks we are in a down market, could you find out from him when he figures it will get better?

he means guys wont sell to him because it's a down market, guys dont wanna sell since they wont get as much for their cues. the ppl with cues that he's looking dont necessarily need money so they're more content on holding on to their cues and waiting till the prices go back up before selling. if he were looking for cheap cues it'd be different but since he's looking for high end cues, the ppl with those cues tend not to need money so they won't sell it until the prices go back up.

Oh I hear your logic, but it doesn't explain the fact that right now there are far more Gus and George and BB and Ginas available than I can ever remember. Everybody has been hurt by the recession and lots of people with money are looking to turn their investments into cash, even in this market.

Plus I think anybody with any real cash will tell you, waiting for the market to improve is not always the guaranteed best strategy regardless of the investment.
