A few in the making

Joey-My new cue ready yet?? What cue you ask?:D:D

Seriously, great looking stuff, I played with my Olivewood last Sunday and it is a MONSTER!!

That purpleheart Zylr is incredible as well. Glad to see you turning out so many fine cues, dude!

A bump to see what Joey is up to during the weekend!

I sprayed a bunch of cues today.
Sanded the epoxy base and sprayed these. You can see these are shinier than the first pix.
I don't usually spray sneaky petes but I'm trying out an auto clear coat.
Hopefully we can finish these batch soon.
Gots a ton of sticks to work on here. I've never had so many cues to work on.

To alleviate the number of PM's, let me say this please.
I won't build sneakies anymore except the ones pending.
If you insist, it's $650 with one shaft and it will be two years before it'll get finished if at all.

I have a ton of figured woods and will be busy for the next two years at least.
I still have a lot of dense ugly maple shafts. I don't make them for any other cues. Just mine for now. If you insist, the price will be ugly.
Thank you to all my supporters. Most have multiple cues on order.
One paid up front and am in debt to him. I don't like being in debt but he's getting paid real handsomely I hope with a beautiful BEM wrapless cue.

They are indeed very shiny Joey.
The bacote on the Z tribute looks awesome. I think the best looking rings are on the sneaky among the 4 :D
Keep up the awesome work!

Curly pink ivory cue in the making.
It's sold.

Should be going out next week.
I'll have to make a pvc tube for this as it's going overseas and the owner has been really patient.
Some so-so figured woods.

Awesome piece. The Koa is very nice. Make sure you put my name on the tube j/k.

Curly African Olivewood with BEM handle.
Just got epoxy base coat.
It's owned by a very patient one-pocket player.
African Olivewood is getting popular with me.
I have a few more in the process.

I like cues that have colored points and stuff but these simples look like they will do for a game of pool.

Simple - NO. Elegant - YES!

Nothing really simple about these cues. Joey puts so much thought into his design and execution. Look at those rings. Simple? I don't think so. Some cue makers throw a bunch of points and floading points and bad color selection to go along with it. Joey's designs are better than so much overkill. Just my opinion.

Sometimes less is more.

Joey puts a lot of effort in his joinery and does it with his own engineering system.

Thanks Rick.
I actually learned most of it from my two late mentors; Kerry Zeiler and Edwin Reyes.

A leather wrapped A-grade BEM player for a nice friend. He's getting an ugly tight golden shaft with old micarta ferrule too.
Euro car finish that looks like water in person.

great pictures and comments Joey

Definely many cues with ( love and sweat applyied) and hours in the chair. I'm all in for the harvey Martin look alike stuff- His style was perfect. Just like yours Joey. God bless Mr. Reyes, and Mr Zylr and all familys. mark Thanks for all the smiles

I wish I could get in on one of those...

The bocote player you made me in 2006 is still possibly the best hitting cue I've ever played with! Its developed a rich, deep-blue patina and a few battle scars through the years, but it pings the balls like my Franklin SW. AMAZING!

Luckily, you have a few known 'flippers' on your waiting list, so I might be able to pick one up sooner than later.

Joey,

I have admired Edwin's cues for a long time and part of my butt design has a slightly thinner handle in the taper geometry.

I have heard a lot great things about your cue's hit but have never had the pleasure to try one. If your cue hits anything like Edwin's, you got a million dollar franchise there my friend.

Keep up the great tradition,

Rick

Finally managed to take a good pic.
My nephew brought in his real camera.
