There's never been a pool table built in the history of building pool tables like this one I'll tell all of you that;) For leveling, there's 24 Diamond wedges around the outside of the slate mounted under the rails. The rails are mounted with 5ea rail bolts, the slate is 30mm thick (1 3/16") AND, has another 15 leveling points thought the middle of the slate that are designed to raise up, or lower down the slate. Then with 6 legs that can also be leveled, that's a total of 45 leveling points;) This is a drop pocket table, which means the baskets attach to the bottom side of the pockets, but even that has been thought out real well, with removable wooden plates under each pocket, which means this slate is never...ever going to have to be taken off to make wear and tear repairs. The 3 lengthwise timber-strands are mounted in the end panels in cutouts in the end panels for the strongest support. There's even two timber-strands mounted across the bottom of the table for forklift support to move the table at tournaments. The bottom of the table is cut out in two places which will allow for very easy access to fine tune the level of the slate as it adjusts to the room it's in over time. The pockets are ProCut 4 1/2" corners and 5 1/16" side pockets, Artemis Intercontinental K55 cushions, and Dymondwood rails. Hell, even the body panels on this table are built out of the same 1 1/2" plywood used to build the rest of Diamond's tables;)

Love It

Will make a great one pocket table. Also I look forawrd to seeing the pros play 10 ball and other games on the 10footer.

Build it with automated slate levellers that constantly monitor the levelness of the table so that it is never out of level. Put in automated PLS5's with electomechanical motors. Then I'll be impressed!!!!

I'm impressed! There will be four of these tables on display and in use at the Tunica Ten Ball event coming up in July. That should be fun and very interesting. Earl may play!

One minor question . . .

That is a mighty fine looking table but the pockets and cushions don't look quite right for a five by ten. How soon are they coming out with the snooker version?

Heaters

Any thought to adding heaters? I know I saw a quote some place that heaters would make a table of this size more consistent like 3 cushion tables.

That's one of the nice things about how this table is designed. If a person wanted to, they could place space heaters up inside the box of this table and heat the slate if they wanted to, but keep in mind, long distance travel is far more important playing 3C than pocket pool;)

Nah that would be a waste of a table, im thinking they just tighten up the bottom two corner pockets.

WWDDN? (what will Diamond do next?) cant wait for a Diamond snooker table!

Well, not really:grin: yes, the rails only have the 2 foot corner pockets, the rest of the rails are billiard rails as in....no other pockets. The table is not a dedicated one pocket rails, rather a secondary set of rails that can be installed on a Diamond ProAm or Smart Table turning it into a one pocket only table making the table more versatile;)...same table can also be turned into a real billiard table with a third set of change able rails. Think about it from a pool room owners point of view, a 3 in 1 pool table;)

Can you play sanctioned one pocket on a table with only two pockets? Seems like you're getting a lot of advantage to not having the other 4 pockets to contend with...especially the sides.

Trust me, it'll open the door to shots being made that you'd NEVER see otherwise, and get rewarded for them shots by points, instead of ball count alone;)
