I think I'm going to call Mrs. West next month and have them whittle me up a stick .

Freddie <~~~ now which LD shaft to screw on it?

i am expecting some really big cues, for me
these will be the best cues ever for me

and at my age these might be my last

South west cues ,,,ebony on ebony six pointer
Barry...barbel traditional 4 point
Pete Tonkin...Ivory box cue
John Nemic..the best full splice cue ever made
Paul Drexler..The Gambling Mouse
Schon..Ivory Joint ivory box cue like Eddie Kelley use to own

Guerra cues..a Brazilion rosewood,no bells or whistles, just pretty wood
Joe Calliluca..barbel mother of pearl

some of these have been on order over 8 years, most for over a year
I ordered some because they were from close friends, most because they are my favorite cue makers
and in the case of Tonkin ,it was at the recomendation of Wil Prout.
who knows more about cues than practically anyone

I ordered the schon because it was so unique, and it is my opinion ,that when it comes time to play,i know i can depend on a schon

Barry and Laurie need no explanation,I will say i think the new southwest are the best ever, and I think Barry has exceeded Gus ,and that was no easy task

I ordered the gambling mouse from Paul Drexler because when it comes time to do the really complicated stuff,,,he is the best,For a treasure like no other,I don't need to explain why iI bought a Drexler
I will say I have bough over 10 cues from Drexler, and some were a little late in delivery, but when they came,I got more than I paid for,way way more

I ordered the full splice from John Nemic because he was a real engineer who figured out how to get the points even on top and bottom, and his cues seem to be magic and I play better with them.John made the deano cues for me
they don't reflect his present abilities, but they played great

Tommy Young (Wu)told me how good the Guerra cues were,i talked to Tony and liked him,he makes sense and is a great guy,in other words I trust him to make me a good cue

Joe C has a very good reputation among people who know, and i ordered one while the getting was good
if people discover him,the prices and wait will make it impossible to get one

Zinzola

My next custom in the works is a zinzola and when tony finishes it up i'll be sure to post some pictures as i believe it will be one of the most impressive looking cues out there past to present. Imho i think tonys work is right up there with the best of them and i can't wait to show the cue off. I still got a new matching justice case just waiting for its future tenent,

I'm with you Dean, Paul really does outstanding work when it comes to details AND playability...Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your input. Like everyone...I'd sure like to see the pictures once it's complete.

Hey midlife, that's a pretty nice butt you have there. Who made it?

Thanks louie, It is an Al Bautista...one of my main players, along with my Larry Vigus. Both are 60" cues and it's a flip of the coin as to which I'll use on any given day LOL...

Also, there seems to be quite a few Murrells on the list...No doubt about Kenny's ability as a cue maker, and I can't wait for my 60"er!!

Two cues for me

A couple hoppe style cues, some day, lol. They will both be stunning looking.
Michael Webb
John Showman
