What exactly is your role with the "guy who hangs out by himself and plays really bad pool"?

The truth? What is the "truth"?

The truth is,
1. Marty was banned from the Canadian show for being an ass.
2. Marty was banned from most "real" pool shows for being an ass.
3. Marty is prohibited from coming here because...........

June 21st Recording.

OK --- So I was going to Herman University today to watch my class and earn my continuing pool education units. I was watching because I needed a good laugh, but I actually heard some interesting things.

So, after 2 to 3 racks of random shooting, Marty had a "call-in guest" to the University Show. This guy, whose name is Mark, mentions that he spent a lot of time w/ Gene Nagy and took a number of lessons from him.

They spoke about Gene for a good bit, basically calling him a genius at pool (can't argue that). Somewhere between 21 and 22 minutes, Marty asks Mark to talk a little about Gene's method of aiming. Before I say anything, I wanted to mention it didn't sound like Mark spends any time on AZB or message boards just by the way he answered the question.

Mark says that Gene aimed the center of the CB to the edge of the object ball for all shots. He doesn't go into any detail about the exact procedure; however, he continues to say that Gene told him the technique was passed to him from Luther Lassiter (as well as the trademark comment, "Make sure you don't tell anybody").

Of course, this is hearsay and you never really know. If you listen to the conversation, Mark doesn't seem to know how important that claim is. I've always been fascinated with the history of CTE (back to the days of Greenleaf and Hal). If what Mark says is true, it makes you wonder if they all used it back then, just as Hal said.

Not turning this into an aiming thread. It's just fascinating to learn the history of certain techniques -- as well as the pros who use them.

If your name isn't some kind of joke, I'd suggest 4 hail mary's and a handful of whatever else you can think of just for associating yourself with that lunatic. :rolleyes: Does that 'high regard' thing mean that he only threatens them using complete sentences and proper punctuation? Anybody that claims to be part of his show and says that they want the truth, must be on the edge of their rocker and slipping.

Anyone can go on ustream and pick a certain "clip" and cancel out the rest (which usually is of him singing, dancing and missing balls)

Marty slings insults at people he doesnt know, makes assumptions about those people and complains that he gets banned after he says he's going to; and I quote "Slit someones throat" He says he got banned when someone else logged under his name and then he was the one who was banned. This is obviously false, if someone else logged in using a similar name, their IP address would be banned, not the username.

Marty is a senile old man with delusions of grandeur.

I posted a "clip"ping of Martys show to get past the garbage and to where he insults everyone. He makes reference to how I was trying to find a game while in the chat. This is 100% true, I know all of the people that were there, I was planning on going there that day, I dont really like driving two hours of our my way to 'maybe' have a game. I personally banned him from the chat after he sent numerous PMs during the last broadcast threatening to slit my throat and other rude comments/threats.

I dont hide what I am, I dont BS people, Im easy to find. I could give to shits about what Marty thinks about me or does in his life. I am content with who I am, my morals and how I conduct myself. Ive never said a bad word about anyone that wasnt justified and at the end of the day I know I am a decent human being. Can Marty say the same about himself?

Marty can try and candy-coat what he says and does all he wants, everyone knows he's a nutjob and should seriously seek professional help.

It seems troubling to me that Christ now needs cues. First money and Rolex watches and now cues! What's next, aiming systems?

Well Marty has to have somebody that will listen to his rants,he must of gave you a special pass,I will give Marty credit for being a dam good pool player from pasted years,but i wouldnt tell him that because he would slice my throat!
 
I have had moments when Marty and I could have an adult conversation, then he turns into either a 5 year old or a lunatic. Even after the threatened to kill me I brushed it off and tried to be civil. After a while you just get sick of it and quit trying.
The guy have family like the rest of us, for their sake I hope he gets help.
