The reason I started this thread is that I wanted to figure out a way to add humidity to some old chalk I have. I think the chalk plays well, but I want to make it go on better when I apply it to the tip.
I thought about steaming it, but I'll put that idea on the back burner. HA! Get it !? Back burner!?
Anyway, I'll try the idea of putting a cube in a zip lock bag with a little container of water and nothing else. I'll leave it outside where it will get a lot of direct sunlight for a few days or weeks. If that works out, I'll get a larger food container with a water tight lid to do larger batches.
I'll post how it turns out.
