Quick question for Djay Customs and TheCueCollector

Cuecollector, why do you chime in on all of DJay's threads? Wouldn't it be easier to just look across the room and talk to him in person, considering that you are logged in from the same IP address?

It almost looks like someone is trying to go around the "no excessive bumps" rule by creating a second account and posting under that to bump the threads.

But certainly no one would do that, right?

No, strangely enough one is offering to buy the other one's cue "if it still available in a week" because it is such a great buy.

Well, they have a little vacation time from the forums to work out their multiple personalities either way.

I'm pretty well mentally delayed when it comes to computers but
I never really thought of that.So if 10 people start a account on AZ from the same computer,you can tell that?
 
If they are using the same IP address, and post on each other's threads, then it is pretty obvious.

I don't sit here all day looking up users IP addresses, but it is pretty easy to check it out when you start to wonder.

This could be a situation brought on by the cue market today. Things are brutal and I am sure it pushes people to do strange things they would not do normaly.
 
my wife has a account but she doesnt get on much and i hardley ever sell anything so it shouldnt be a problem as long as she doesnt bump my thread right?? if so i will kick her a$$ off the site and then sleep on the sofa :eek::grinning-moose:
 
Since I access AZ from home , work , and my iPhone does that mean I have three different addresses or is it just the one lenoxmjs?

Youu have 3 Ip addresses.. Basically it says where you are loccated

Each location you log on to will have a seperate IP
I use the same computer but I log on in houston huntsville and NJ every place I log on has a different IP
 
Personally, I have posted from multiple IP addresses...and I am certainly only one person.

I was once, years ago, accused of having multiple user names on a forum. It turned out that another guy where I worked was posting on the same forum. (I was in IT and it was an IT support forum, it was in fact work related). But anyway...it isn't always so clear.

I this case though, it certainly does seem clear what was going on.

MIKE! thank you for taking the time to make sure people who are abusing the system are put on a time out... i also understand that the two day rule makes it hard to sell a cue... but thats the rule you guys gave us, and its important for us all to follow it.. it is only fair... and for us that do follow it, its nice to see the shillers dont get away with it..

I have known Djay for a few years now and made several deals with him on here and on another forum. He has never been anything but a stand up guy, and I have no reason to doubt him. His friend (who I KNOW is staying at his house) is obviously a bit of a numpty though!!

Also, if you take a look back through Djay's items he has sold, his prices are always extremely competitive, so I don't see why he would need to have someone bump his threads for him. He normally sells his cues / cases within just a few days.

I would say ban cue collector for being stupid and let Djay back on, he is one of the good guys!
