Could be old kevin Varney's cue. Check with him, sometimes he does not sing his cues
Both may have used the same material, but I am having trouble finding an example of a Biagio (or Joss) cue that has the same style buttcap or joint sleeve as mine... Could be that I am not looking in the right places though! In any case I will keep looking for similarities, thanks for the input!
I see you are in Florida. I made many cues in New Port Richie using a 3/8 10 around 2000 - 2002 and none were signed as my partner Rich during RT Custom Cues signed all the cues.
If the cue is that old and was bought in that area there is a good chance it is a Tcue or RT.
the work showing in photo below appears Personal.
i think this is your biggest clue.
look at how well taillored that joint is, how nicely everything comes together.
the edges where wood meets material are razor sharp, who ever did this work was very good at it.
i believe that joint, it's style, the choice of color and material will lead you to the builder.

This is like something out of a "Twilight Zone" show.Very interesting.
I would love to hear from anyone who has any thoughts or speculations on this cue! If you have an idea, please post it! Thanks! -Josh
Nobody said it yet but something tells me possibly early Jim buss. I think a talk with him may be helpful

Forearm is Birdseye. Birdseye has eyes on two opposite sides, and the other sides are curly. True curly is curly all around.
In Birdseye, the curly part is actually the side view of the Birdseyes, which tend to do deep into, or entirely through the wood.\
