A big mess........

Been using Dixie type cups for epoxy ect and didn't think twice about mixing some Chroma in one....until....

Came back from store after 15 mins to find a melted cup and clear all over the place....:angry:
 
Don't feel bad my friend, done it countless times and its my business to know better.
 
Hi,

I use small 2.5 oz plastic cups from the restaurant supply company for cole slaw. There are 2 different types, one melts and one is good. they cost pennies and there is no clean up to worry about

I use these cups for measuring only and I use a the bottom of a bottled water bottle for mixing the parts. Water bottles don't melt.

I found that if it is recycle code "5" it usually won't melt.
When I was shooting car coat I used this system and loved it.

Just throw away the liner, and run about an oz of thinner thru the gun and you're done. Saved a lot of mess and clean up. I still use these for UV, but you don't have to clean up between shoots, just hang it on the wall until next time. I change liners about once every three months, but thats more out of habit.

been there done that :eek:
except it took about 15 seconds to melt it
mighta been the reducer too
i save glass jars for mixing
minimum of two spaghetti sauce jars per week
that's one advantage of wifie & i not liking the same sketti sauce :grin:
 
Randy, I use the medicine cups for measuring out the 4 to 1 mix of Chromaclear and use the regular plastic cups that you get from the auto body store for mixing.
