He told me last night that he will be playing with a Meucci and holding siminars for the Meucci company. He told me his new Meucci shoots so good. He did not however say anything about the great player, playing with the new cue. Buddy said he will be doing a lot of traveling now since he is representing Meucci! I am passing this info on the the AZB family.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Good for Buddy. He has represented Meucci in the past as well. Maybe this will lead to more AzB'ers giving current Meucci products a try.

Maybe this will lead to Meucci improving their quality control and putting out a decent cue again. But I won't hold my breath.

Congrats Buddy! I hope you got a great long-term contract! Of course, this has nothing to do with the cue...

When I first met Buddy, he was playing with a Meucci.

I'm a Mopar man...I don't think Dodge and Chrysler are the best...
...but I'm loyal to them 'cause I know how they handle.

Lotta Meucci owners are in the same boat...they know how they play.
...gotta friend who left his Szamboti in the case for 2 years to play with
his Meucci.
I think Earl's best years were with a Meucci.

TBH, they got a player to represent their cues who is no longer much of a quality (or even active) player. No offense to Buddy but he is way, WAY beyond his prime and when is the last time he ever even competed in an event? He skipped the IPT due to health reasons and had free entries into those events.

What is the point? This is no different then if Dunlop was to start sponsoring Jack Nicklaus, sponsor him to do what exactly???

I know this will be unpopular, but I seriously do not get it, Buddy Hall is long retired from this sport and I do not get the point of a cue sponsorship at all other then perhaps being charity.

i was thinking the same thing. this seems to be a very friendly, rare sponsorship that is meant for an iconic player.

remember 30 years ago when Meucci came out with a promotional video (including Earl, Jumpity Jones, etc)? i wonder if that got them anywhere....because they're basically doing the same thing again...except without the video

When Moe Norman, the Canadian golfer with a unique swing, got too old...
Titleist gave him a life long exhibition contact 'cause he hadn't really made
any retirement plans.
Golf tends to take care of their own.

I like seeing pool take care of Buddy.

Tap, tap, tap!! I second that motion, and more companies in the industry should be acting along those lines.

And I, for one, would buy something from them for doing so.

(Does Meucci sell T-shirts??)

Buddy used to represent and play with a Lucasi. Now it's meucci. It's all about the money. But he has to do what he needs to to survive.
Maybe, just maybe he can influence them to bring their products up in quality.
Maybe his best days are behind him but if he came to Denver and put on an exhibition and the cost was reasonable I would attend.
He is a legend of our game.

Buddy represented Meucci when they were called Meucci Originals before 1990. Only reason Buddy is representing them is because he needs money. If Meucci wanted to boost their rep they would have a current young player play with their cue and not Buddy Hall who is basically retired. Bob Meucci wont improve his quality because he is too much of a tightwad.

RedCircle,

Bash Meucci all you want, but leave Buddy out of your little tirade you jack..... Never mind that Buddy is the greatest 9 ball player ever, he's a great man first and foremost.

You're out of line saying jack sh!t about Buddy, period.

i saw bob and buddy banging some balls around at the convention center last weekend. buddy was also showing bobs grandson some shots.

even with his health issues i watched him have amazing cueball control just hitting some balls around.

glad to see bob throw some money buddys way.

You want to play the retiree some???

I am not bashing Buddy. Buddy was a great player in his time. Just saying that I think the only reason Buddy is representing Meucci at this time is because he needs money. Just because Buddy represents them doesn't mean Bob is going to improve the quality of his cues. Actually I was bashing Bob and not Buddy. I wont play Buddy, but I might play you some.
