My opinion ?? And I don’t know Larry or Trent from Adam.
People keep mentioning that Larry’s reaction wasn’t typical with what one would expect when they opened a box with zero shafts in it. Truthfully, with all the drama surrounding this entire ordeal, it’s not surprising at all. Hell, just the butt in the shipping container would have been what I would have expected in Larry‘s shoes. I’d be running all sorts of scenarios in my head as to what the contents of that box would be. And in the end, I’d probably figure on “that a**hole sending me just the butt”.
Same thing with Larry even having the camera in the first place. I would have expected some sort of shenanigans from Trent after all the back and forth in regards to ‘cutting the butt up and sending it back in pieces’. So I’d want to document it somehow. Hence the video.
And for what it’s worth, my mailman’s schedule is pretty predictable. I get the mail around 2:00 - 2:15 every day, and if I’ve run the tracking number that morning, then I know the package is ‘out for delivery’ and coming “today” (the 6th). So I’d have everything set up by 1:30, if not earlier.
Truth be told, after getting (no pun intended) the shaft on the bay a couple of times, I do the following:
I have a Kodak EIS video camera. Whenever I sell anything, I label and pack as much of the box as I can at home, while still being able to remove the item. When I get to the post office, I film A) my inspection of the item, B) my placing it in the box, C) sealing the box, and D) standing in line until I give it to the clerk. It’s all one continuous shot.
Once the customer receives the item, and everything’s good (I.e. feedback left, customer satisfied), I can delete the video.
Anybody can take pictures of a full box. And then take things out of that box before taping it up.
I guess if I were Trent, and thought (even for a second) that Larry was going to pull some $h!t, I would have been in full CYA mode, and filmed everything from packing the box until I gave it to the mail clerk.
So now it’s being suggested that Larry took the shafts out and repackaged the box with NO shafts and shipped it to himself again…… just out of spite ??? Seriously ????
All Larry has ever wanted was the cue with his KOA wood, and the two shafts. Which is (to my understanding) what he paid for. So what’s the point of dragging this entire ordeal out ?? Two more shafts ??
I’m curious, why did this apology thread start BEFORE Larry received the box ???
The creation of this thread almost seems like ‘blowback’ was expected. If Trent even considered for a moment that Larry may try to pull a fast one, why not cover your ass with a video ? Keep it in your ‘back pocket’ if he thinks Larry will try to say nothing was shipped ??
Something doesn’t seem right on Trent’s side.....
