Why? Because BMX is exciting to watch, and pool isn't.
Do you know anyone that thinks the walking events or sailing are exciting to watch?
I raced bmx for 7 years. played pool for bout 16 , bmx is much tougher. pool isnt even close to a sport.
This thread is about BMX.
Just be happy that its in the Pan Am games
...Imagine pool players who are overweight or in poor physical shape vying for a gold on TV, people would be laughing about it.
...I can't see a hat being passed at the local bar to support the US Pool Team, as the money would get lost, or ????? I can see the BCA, APA, TAP, ACS or other group supporting the US Team.
If the Billiard would be in the Olympic game. the first choice for the Olympic committee would be the Snooker all day long before any pool game.
...Yet another "our game should be in the olympics and their game should not" thread. I wonder if the avid golfers have the same threads ....
What about trampoline??? The friggin' springs on that contraption is doing most of the hard work.
OTOH, how can something that can be done successfully by an overweight, drunk man smoking cigarettes be considered an Olympic sport???
Maniac (thinks the Olympics is already oversaturated with not-so-sporty-sports)
