Getting banned - what does it take

I have been looking through some of the threads and see that some profiles have 'banned' underneath them.

I was just wondering what it takes to get banned?

Read the forum rules. Break some of them. Brazenly. Repeatedly. Despite warnings.

Come back with a different used name, after getting banned.

That's a start.

You could post pictures of guys having sex in a public bathroom with poop smeared all over the walls.

I'm sure that would do it.

Insanity will do it.
I lost my mind, for awhile, and was banned, but thanks to expert counseling at the renowned Pittsburg Institute for Schizophrenic Sociopaths, or PISS, as we loving call it, I have been able to resume my posting with complete confidance and freedom.
I have, however, developed a small tick in my right cheek when logging in to the forum, but the doctor says it should go away in a couple of years.

Not all that much, really.

In the time I've been here, those that got banned were repeatedly innapropriate in their means of "discussion", generally being slanderous towards others, and have continued to do so after warnings. That, or they simply step too far over the line warranting immediate bans. I imagine their have been times when the mods were quick on the trigger, but most seem pretty justified. The bottom line is that I you can act as a civilized human being on here, you have nothing to be worried about.

Most of the bans I've seen over the years are from guys who consistently get into arguments, refuse to be civil about it, and escalate things to the point of namecalling.

Sometimes they reply in other threads and then find some way to inject their favorite topic of debate, even when it's not really related to the subject. The thread then devolves into a poisonous mess.

So basically, don't be one of those guys and you'll be fine. And if you have a subject that you're really passionate about and want to debate... you can, but don't be an ass about it.

Who said anything about being worried? I had a problem by simply disagreeing with a VERY important member of the forum.

The Ban Test

I'm going to experiment.

Mr. Wilson,

Your mother was a goat and your father smelt of elderberries!
You went to buy some cows because you heard this KaMoooi chalk sells for a lot.
When people post about Reyes you have to do a web search to find out who he is.

:grin-loving:

Simply mention anything good about a Tournament, Promoter, Director, Cue Maker, Pool Player or anything positive about the game at all. That would get you labeled a wierdo and should do the trick.

Few examples...

- Multiple IP addresses
- SC5 reincarnated
- Telling someone to $#^ your ^&*( and then (#%$ off you @#$ucker ^&*%...but with more colorful words and less symbols
- Not following the rules
- Scamming people in the Wanted For Sale section
- Being a unic
- Fking with the police (Wilson)

The above doesn't do a thing. U can start a "service account" come up with a fake relative, give someone a I won't do it anymore cry, and bingo.. no ban. Biggest over the eyes wool pulling ever.
